I took a look at the new book on Amazon about Queen's recording history. It's massive...has 528 pages! It sounds wonderful, but I will wait to see if it comes out in paperback.

MHZ...I had read something along those lines about the association between COVID-19 and blood types. Apparently people with type O blood were also less susceptible to SARS. Hope your friend is feeling a lot better.

Thanks Rainbow, my friend recovered and is back at work. He runs a local company and his manufacturing employees are all complaining about having to wear masks all day to work in. He knows he got his Covid at work, so he is not sympathetic, and I can’t blame him!
A note on books, I read one called Left Neglect, I’m wondering if anyone else has read it? I would be interested in opinions, my mom liked it a lot so I read it and was kind of meh about it.
In other book news....Rudi says his book is finished! Over 50 chapters. Let’s see how long until we actually get copies....

Rainbow, I don't have my stamps yet. When I ordered them from Royal Mail they said they were sold out and did not expect to be able to ship a new batch until August 14. I'm figuring I'll have them in September with the way the mail is running. That's ok, I like to have things to look forward to.
Queen, All The Songs looks very interesting to me. Don't many of you have the book with all the lyrics?? I can't think of the title but some of you have spoken highly of that book. I don't have that one, so I'll probably drop this one in my Amazon cart and then think about it a while before I buy. Someone on Queenchat mentioned that there are All the Songs books for the Stones, Led Zepplin and more and that they are impressive.

Then again I saw that Rudi had finished his book and I'll get that one as soon as it is available. Does it have to go through the editing process now? Is he publishing it through his own company? You and Lsgp will have to let us know where he does his Backstage broadcast from tomorrow since I think he said it would be in a new place now.

I watched a documentary a while ago, where they pointed out that race issues played a role and that some incriminating evidence that was reported widely in the media was not admited. Viewers had a fuller pucture than the jurors who were in a bubble, only able to view the admitted evidence.

I am still not a hundred percent sure. It is very likely he did it. Peterson lied about key issues. He claimed his wife knew about his bisexuality, but in recent interviews he said something like "she kind of knew, we never talked about it"... It also looks like police messed up the crime scene.
I watched the first 8 episodes covering the trial back in 2004/2005 and years later the follow-up episode on Peterson´s struggle for a new trial. I read material on websites about the case and found out the fimmakers left out a lot of evidence.
I read articles and watched the Alford Plea hearing, but not the recent episodes on Netflix. What a convoluted story.

Steven, I think he did it too...but I feel like somehow his son was involved. Wasn’t he already there when the police arrived? It seemed pretty suspicious to me. At first Michael seemed like he had to be such a good guy, with his military background and all. But when the evidence started coming out and then I saw interviews with him it changed my mind.
I believe Rudi is still in his apartment, but he talks about packing his stuff. I haven’t watched today’s show yet, maybe he has some new info.

Steven, I sometimes watch Dateline too. In fact I realized I watch and read quite a bit of that genre. Last night Lifetime broadcast the Jodi Arias movie again, followed by an hour special of her cellmates sharing what they knew of her. Quite the manipulator!
MHZ I just did my version of watching Rudi's backstage on YouTube. That means I skip through it stopping now and then to listen and see if he's saying anything i want to hear. This one was decent and I may go back and watch the whole episode. He's got a good attitude about moving and I commend him for that. I don't like change and I can be difficult to live with if I have to move. The good thing is that he will be able to see his boys.

Katy - I wonder how All the Songs would compare to Complete Works? Seems like similar content. However, the description has my fave statement "rare photos" which always intrigues me. I honestly still haven't finished reading Complete Works. It's very interesting but long and "dry" as it's factual. I do pick it up and use it for reference now and again but only read about 1/4 way through. Also - I'm kinda surprised you haven't gotten your stamps. It seems as if I ordered mine after you and have already received it. I got the Presentation Pack, not sure if you got something different which is holding it up?
Steven-can't speak for the OJ jurors but I do know that court cases follow a rule of law which may eliminate certain portions of evidence and the instructions given to jurors are very specific and designed to be very fair to the accused. If the jurors follow instructions, they are dealing with facts and proof, not media hype and feelings. I was a juror in Chicago many years ago. It was a boring lawsuit but, I remember the instructions being a very big deal when deciding guilt and the award we issued to the plaintiff. There was another juror who really wanted to let her emotions make her decisions and almost left us hung but we finally got through it.
MHZ-Chicago shootings? Never! Oh, like last night which led to more destruction, looting, injuries and death? I really have no patience left for that kind of behavior. Worst part is, it's really easy to become a little immune. Last year on our Canada trip, we stopped near the US/Canada border for lunch. We talked to another couple about all the flags that were at half mast in the area. They thought it was because of ANOTHER shooting in Chicago. As we had been traveling and not hearing news, I asked "why lower the flags, that happens all the time." I didn't mean to be rude or uncaring, it just was unusual because it happens so often and flags don't get lowered around here. She just chuckled and said that people in Maine must care more. So sad that this is the norm........
OK, last thing, I promise. Anyone with XM know what's going on with the Queen channel? It was up, then it was down yet I keep hearing ads for it until mid Aug. Tried to Google it but not finding anything real specific.

Amidds, the Queen channel is still on Sirius if you have an online subscription. It is on channel 730 on mine. I think there are just 3 more days of it though.
The constant shootings in Chicago are crazy, it always makes me scratch my head, since guns are supposed to be illegal there!
I did finally watch Rudi’s show...rolling my eyes because he was shirtless again! I was disappointed that his Brian May exclusive was just a story he told on a previous show. I think he is running out of new material. He says he is going to do a reading from his book that only his preorder people can see...but what is to stop us from recording it and showing it elsewhere? Or at least talk about it?
I spent the afternoon cleaning out my car today...and I have a long standing wish, for anyone that wants that idea that will make you millions. I can never get my car mats clean! If someone could invent mats that actually return to their clean new look when you clean them, I would buy them in a second. I scrub my mats, use every cleanser I can find, yet they still have areas on them where the mud refuses to come off and they look dingy! If anyone has the secret to getting them to look like new, besides replacing them, please let me know!

MHZ, Rudi and that no shirt thing kills me.I hope he is packing I wonder why he can’t find a place to live in Florida. I hope he hasn’t been a bad tenant. I wish I could be a fly on the wall. He has a lot of stuff it overwhelms me I would throw it all out. He collects to much junk I’m afraid.Maybe he is trying to show his six pack off and get him a new girlfriend by appearing online without a shirt.I sure never mind I will be nice lol!!!!
Amidds, I agree that All The Songs and Complete Works may be similar. But since I don't own Works I thought I might take a chance on Songs. Am I correct in thinking that Complete Works gives you all the lyrics and possibly background stories? I'm going to wait for the reviews since Songs is expensive and I've already committed to the Neil Preston book. As for the stamps, I'm not worried that I don't have them yet. I ordered them from Royal Mail even though all of their products were sold out. They were sold out on the Queen sites too, but Royal Mail gave me a date when they would be receiving a second shipment so I went with them. In my mind that date was August 14 after which they would begin shipping. I know it will take a while once they do start shipping so I'm just looking at it as a lovely surprise whenever it comes Weren't yours damaged? Were you able to resolve that issue?

Lsgp, I was stunned at how Arias was able to manipulate her cell mates, even long after they had been released. It's actually scary to me that someone is able to control others to that degree. Actually Casey Anthony is another trial I watched. I'm surprising myself at how many of these trials I was engrossed in enough to watch them as soon as I got home from work.

Arias was one evil broad. Called herself a victim, rubs that in his families face in the courtroom, etc....evil, manipulative. The brutal way she murdered him, just because she didn’t get her way. He started to have noticed her way, and He felt the need to get out of it. That family were reared by the grandma because the siblings were orphaned, and she dies of a broken heart and after his death, all because of Arias, who will never think she did anything wrong. Juan Martinez wouldn’t let her get away with anything, he was my hero.

Lsgp, bummer with the Queen channel. I guess I don't subscribe to the right program b/c I don't get channels in the 700's. I'll look into getting the app even though there's only a couple of days left-what little I got to experience when it was on ch 27 was excellent!

It is divided by album, song, vid, etc. It gives background stories on each, who wrote it, sang it, and any info on the meaning behind the songs or their origination. It really is very interesting, just not something I can sit and run through.
