Amidds, I believe you are correct, it was JB who had the damaged stamps. Sorry about that! I always mean to keep a cheat sheet beside the computer so I can remember things like that, but I never do. As for "Songs", I suspect it is the type of book I would not read straight through and might used more as a reference when I hear certain songs. Still debating on purchase and think I'll wait and see...........

Ammids you can download the SiriusXM app from App Store onto your phone or iPad then find the Queen channel. You have until all today and tomorrow. It’s just not in the car anymore, but rather still on the app on phone and Ipad it’s weird but it is what it is

I get the Sirius app so that I can listen to songs while I do things in the yard or around the house. I can connect my phone by Bluetooth to a speaker system so it’s pretty useful. I really like the medical station, I listen to that one a lot, and I also enjoy Dr Laura in the afternoon sometimes. She’s one tough lady!

I’ve had fun the last few days, we had storms and tornadoes come through Monday evening and had lots of trees down. Luckily no house damage for us, but there were several near us that did. We had no power for 24 hours, just got it back last night. I spent 7 hours yesterday afternoon picking up branches in our yard! Today I went up to my parent’s place and helped them, they had a huge tree come down, over 2 feet in diameter. My dad and I cut it up with the chainsaw. My muscles are quite sore now!

I really do like Rudi and I enjoy some of his show, I just wish he would keep to what he says he’ll do and not over promise. And of course I wish he would wear a shirt! He had just that scarf on the other day...I think that was almost worse!

yep it was me w the 2 broken Sets. Glass completely sheltered. Stamps scraped etc. (Queen Store); they were sold out as you said so no exchange option. They don’t know if they will be getting any more. I’ll be getting a refund on mine. Had a few up and back emails just got confirmation yesterday.

I hear all of you re: Chicago. Very distressing. This last wave especially. One thing I can say is it seems more people are speaking out more than ever.

MHZ - so glad to hear your power is back. It was a crazy storm. It went so fast. Lots of tree and some structural damage in my town. We were very lucky. We only lost power for a minute, literally. But neighbors tree was completely uprooted and laying in the street. We never heard it???

I’m impressed w your use of the chainsaw! Very out of my wheelhouse.

JB!!! Where you been? Missed you! Kind of a bummer that Queen Store can't exchange. You said the stamps were scraped but could you just get a glass replacement yourself and have it still look good or were they scraped badly? Well, I guess any scrape sucks but, sometimes you can't always see a little damage.

I did notice Thor's cut off message and wanted to ask everyone here about it. I assume some people must've contacted him to ask about it? I was tempted to DM him but didn't want to have him overrun with hundreds of the same DM's lol. Obviously when a message starts out as "unfortunately", only bad news is coming......

Thanks to everyone that clarified the Sirius info. Of course, it was too late for me to get it downloaded and really enjoy it but, now that I know, hopefully I'll catch it next time!

MHZ, I too am impressed that you can use a chainsaw! My brother lost power for two days in that storm.

JB I got a notice in email today that my stamps have been shipped and I should have them in 2-3 days unless I live outside GB. LOL, I'm still thinking it might take til September Now my fingers are crossed that they aren't damaged. That's such a shame that you had to settle for a refund JB. i am also surprised that they don't know if they will be getting more. I'll let you know when mine arrive.

Sweltering heat triggered power outages across California (both Northern Cal and Southern Cal) on Fri. Could that be an explanation?

I don’t do much with the chainsaw myself, just smaller branches and things. My dad did the big stuff, and I am so impressed by him. In his 80s and still able to saw up those huge trees! I just picked the tree up and rolled a tree limb under so it was elevated and could be cut up. I am happy that I didn’t end up with poison ivy from it, I was standing in a patch of it with shorts on. I must not be too reactive to it.

JB, it’s too bad about your stamps, I hadn’t seen that framed set until recently and it is really nice!

Thanks JT, but I’m wondering most places have backup generators when outages happen maybe wherever he was at didn’t have one.Unfortunately doesn’t sound like good news I have heard this all over QZ but that’s okay. With everything going on in the world today if we are all healthy and alive we just keep trucking that’s the best we can do and that’s good enough for me.To all a happy and peaceful weekend . To think back in the day people used ice houses for their cooling needs lol.

I hope you've all seen Thor's update by now! He didn't even realize that his first update had been cut off. I personally thought Jo's speculation about a power outage was very possible so I had my fingers crossed for that. He's had some issues with his computer and I figured that an outage might have fried it. It was so nice to see that it's just another COVID delay. Well..........I guess there is nothing "nice" about a COVID delay, but it's a bit of a relief. He sounds pretty upbeat and that is good.

I was in a bubble for a bit, extremely fortunate to still be working from home and keeping plenty busy. Also been going through things at home. Working toward Unloading more at September’s shredding and recycling event here. :-))

great question you are reading my mind. I’m going to use the refund to see about getting the glass replaced. I’ll take a picture and post what it looks like. When I looked closer looks like stamp may be rubbed a little. But should be salvageable. They are really nice sets.
