JB, you weren't kidding when you said they were damaged! Was the package marked "Fragile"? That glass is absolutely shattered. You must have known the pictures were destroyed as soon as you picked up the package. What a shame. Did you have to argue much to get the refund?
Oh wow JB050 so sorry this happened to you. What a shame, the anticipation to arrive only to receive this way.
JB, yikes! What did the PO do, use it like a football??? I had fingers crossed for you but it looks like the broken glass did kind of a number. So sorry for that, how disappointing! Hopefully they will restock and you can replace if so inclined.
I did see Thor’s update, I had been expecting something much worse after the cut off message. I’m relieved but geez, Thor, don’t leave us hanging like that lol! Maybe the book will be a Christmas present for us all

As soon as I picked up the box and felt pieces moving around inside... I knew... this isn’t suppose to have movement. Inside was wrapped well w brown construction paper, bubble wrap, and plastic wrap.
Amidds, I think you are right with the football theory. Ha.

Katy- sorry meant “fragile” answer to you. Haha. And- no fuss for refund. They asked for pictures and they got them. :-). They were apologetic and offered a credit or refund. I communicated with three different people via email because I wanted to be sure they weren’t expecting me to also send them back.
Katydyd...Glad to hear your stamps are finally on the way. Do you already have a spot selected on your Freddie "wall of fame"?
JB050...It's great that you'll be able to keep the stamps and get your refund. Did you check the Royal Mail site? Your set could still be available through them. If the stamps aren't damaged, you could do as Amidds suggested and reframe them yourself. By the way, I'm also doing some cleaning to get ready for our local shred event. Ours is next week. We just have to bring some cans/boxes of food to donate to the local food pantry. I am also still working from home...and loving it. It's been 5 months now...going back to the office will be a drag. I have no idea when that will be. I only had a 2 week period of unemployment, so I know I am lucky.
I am one of the people who has "Queen: The Complete Illustrated Lyrics" book. It is just that...lyrics to almost all of the songs (not Mustapha) copies of the guys' handwritten lyrics, and TONS of pictures. That's it. I love this book! Do you ever make up words that sound like they fit when you don't know the words to a song? Now I don't have any excuses for bungling Queen lyrics and it's more fun then looking them up online. For the song "Killer Queen", I could never figure out after the line "just like Marie Antoinette"! It sounds like the illustrated lyrics book that I have is different than "Queen: Complete Works" by Purvis which has a lot of detailed info about the songs. The new book coming out in October by Clerc: "Queen All the Songs: The Story Behind Every Track" goes even deeper into the recording process...I'm not sure I'm interested in that one at this point.
MHZ...So COOL that you can handle a chainsaw! I have never tried before. Seven hours of picking up branches...yeah, I'd be one aching mess after that!
Amidds...I agree with you and the others...am so frustrated over over the endless shootings, other violence, and destruction. My heart aches for all those who have lost loved ones.
