An Adam Lambert pop/rock band

Imagine if Adam cut back on the screaming, the clothes, and ugly hair styled and formed a pop/rock BAND, with pop/rock musicians, and no more working with bubblegum pop / rap producers?

Then he’d have something great going for him. His fans should tell him to form a band. It’s what he needs! I’ve noticed the song writers he works with basically give him filler. He’d be so much better off in a band with actual musicians who enjoy writing music.

I’ve noticed some of Adam’s hardcore fans don’t enjoy some of his new stuff... but still they push to promote it with more streams and more YouTube views (just read AdamTopia). If you’re not enjoying it, why promote it?

Someone needs to steer Adam in the right direction. He has potential.

My two cents. I just think the dude is a pop singer and really hasn't had all the traditional underpinnings of a songwriter. It's not just the fact that he's a studio product for a giant media biz, It's just the way it is.

But hey, Bill Withers and Otis Redding both got late starts in their singing/writing. Who the hell knows

Just bored and trying to respond amicably without jokes

...maybe he'll front BAD COMPANY whenever Paul Rodgers retires.

Wouldn’t that be funny if that happened? Sniffy, SweetCaroline, and Rockchic will tell us how much they have loved them since day one.

That’s what I mean, though. He needs a band with actual songwriters, and in the right music category. It’s almost as if right now, he doesn’t give a fuck on what kind of music he creates. There’s not much thought into it. He could absolutely release good music with the right songwriters and someone to guide him in the right direction.

People say Adam tries not to be Freddie, but in my opinion, he does what he does while performing with Queen because of Freddie. The theatrics, holding long notes. It’s as if he tries too hard, and now it’s just expected.

Ok I'll bite, what's the deal with you and Adam, you spend most of your time calling him all sorts, you go on about how he looks, make up, whatever but yet seem pissed that he doesn't do what you think he should. Usually only people who care about someone or care if they are successful would be bothered about him not doing things "right" or think what he should/could be doing different. Very contradictory.

In answer to what you actually said his fans if they've followed him long enough know better than to TELL him anything, he hates being told what to do. This album is what he wanted to make and whether other people like it or not he's happy with it, the people he worked with didn't give him filler they worked WITH him and he chose how he wanted things to sound so the buck stops with him, he wasn't given songs to make the best of from a record label this time it's all down to him so if you think it's rubbish fair enough you just don't like his vision or style of songs/singing.

And as I've pointed out before he couldn't form a band even if he wanted to while he's working with Brian & Roger, no band would be willing to wait around and only work here and there while he went off touring with QAL, he'd have to commit to it 100% and he couldn't do that currently. I personally couldn't see him doing that anyway but it's not an option at the moment.

Nah, Bad Company and Free are ok, like some of their well known songs but can't pretend I've really looked into their back catalogue. Last band in the world he'd be fronting so it won't ever come to that thankfully.

He's happy with the music he's doing, the producers and co-writers he hand picked and the songs they co-wrote, anyone not liking it is free to not listen the same as with any other artist, he's doing this for himself not to fit some kind of criteria other people think he should.

He's happy now...when he is trying to push the album. Who knows if he'll be happy about Velvet in a few years time?
He was happy about his other music...while he was trying to promote and push it. Turns out he wasn't so happy after all.

Ok so Adam Lambert does need to get a band together and stop making himself famous because of Queen.
He needs to get decent song writers in to write hi a decent tune as his albums are clueless and he has no musical direction whatsoever.
I have been saying this for years Lambert is so insecure he will not branch out on his own he is constantly reliant on Queen to make him a name.[/QUOTE]

So what? I'd do it too. Milk that Queen cow just as Brian and Roger are doing. Then after it's over I'd retire with all my money, pay some heavies to put you in a cage beside my swimming pool, and flick peanuts at you all day.

He acts foolish and could release much better music. Does he release what he wants? I don’t think he cares about what type of music he releases. Someone should steer him in the right direction.

I’ve never mentioned his makeup.

Yeaaah.... I was just joking. U know... "keeping it in the family"... Since Paul fronted "Queen +" for some time, and "he was Freddies favorite singer" it falls to logic that "Adam" would be "Paul's favorite singer".... if he retired or croaked.

Just being facetious..I couldn't resist it.

BTW: FREE had 3 fantastic albums.. 2 are incredible. I'm not so fond of Bad Company.. they were very MOR rock. But Paul Rodgers has a fantastic voice despite the general corniness of some of that Bad Co stuff.

As for AL... I haven't bothered listening to any of his stuff since "trespassing" which I downloaded one time and ran through a week... wasn't much I could care for but I tried.

at least it was a little more rock ish. Still very bland seeming though. I *DID* like hearing Brian and Roger doing "Two Fux" on the last tour I attended.

Don’t know if the original poster is trolling or not, but this is absolutely true. Just listen to the Citizen Vein stuff they wrote as a band. Was raw, but with the right band Adam could’ve really shined with original material.

He's never said he wasn't happy with all his other music at all he just wasn't happy with the songs the label wanted to release as singles and the way they tried to push him to tone himself down and fit some mould they had in mind and some of the songs they pushed on him that wouldn't have been his choice.

The difference this time is he made all the decisions on the music, look, everything so there's no reason to not be happy with it, it's his vision.
