Imagine if Adam cut back on the screaming, the clothes, and ugly hair styled and formed a pop/rock BAND, with pop/rock musicians, and no more working with bubblegum pop / rap producers?
Then he’d have something great going for him. His fans should tell him to form a band. It’s what he needs! I’ve noticed the song writers he works with basically give him filler. He’d be so much better off in a band with actual musicians who enjoy writing music.
I’ve noticed some of Adam’s hardcore fans don’t enjoy some of his new stuff... but still they push to promote it with more streams and more YouTube views (just read AdamTopia). If you’re not enjoying it, why promote it?
Someone needs to steer Adam in the right direction. He has potential.
Ok I'll bite, what's the deal with you and Adam, you spend most of your time calling him all sorts, you go on about how he looks, make up, whatever but yet seem pissed that he doesn't do what you think he should. Usually only people who care about someone or care if they are successful would be bothered about him not doing things "right" or think what he should/could be doing different. Very contradictory.
In answer to what you actually said his fans if they've followed him long enough know better than to TELL him anything, he hates being told what to do. This album is what he wanted to make and whether other people like it or not he's happy with it, the people he worked with didn't give him filler they worked WITH him and he chose how he wanted things to sound so the buck stops with him, he wasn't given songs to make the best of from a record label this time it's all down to him so if you think it's rubbish fair enough you just don't like his vision or style of songs/singing.
And as I've pointed out before he couldn't form a band even if he wanted to while he's working with Brian & Roger, no band would be willing to wait around and only work here and there while he went off touring with QAL, he'd have to commit to it 100% and he couldn't do that currently. I personally couldn't see him doing that anyway but it's not an option at the moment.
He acts foolish and could release much better music. Does he release what he wants? I don’t think he cares about what type of music he releases. Someone should steer him in the right direction.
I’ve never mentioned his makeup.
Of course he cares about what type of music he releases, he's wanted to do his own thing since day one and with this project that's exactly what he did, the fact you don't like it is irrelevant, it's his vision and he's happy with it so that's what matters to him.
There's no steering him, try telling his dad that and see his response lol, even he treads on eggshells and knows better than to tell him anything. You might think you know what's best for him and I've no doubt some of his fans think they know best as well, there's plenty would have loved him to do different music or an album of covers etc but they know it will never happen unless he suddenly decides that's what HE want's to do.

...maybe he'll front BAD COMPANY whenever Paul Rodgers retires.
Wouldn’t that be funny if that happened? Sniffy, SweetCaroline, and Rockchic will tell us how much they have loved them since day one.
Nah, Bad Company and Free are ok, like some of their well known songs but can't pretend I've really looked into their back catalogue. Last band in the world he'd be fronting so it won't ever come to that thankfully.
Yeaaah.... I was just joking. U know... "keeping it in the family"... Since Paul fronted "Queen +" for some time, and "he was Freddies favorite singer" it falls to logic that "Adam" would be "Paul's favorite singer".... if he retired or croaked.
Just being facetious..I couldn't resist it.
BTW: FREE had 3 fantastic albums.. 2 are incredible. I'm not so fond of Bad Company.. they were very MOR rock. But Paul Rodgers has a fantastic voice despite the general corniness of some of that Bad Co stuff.
As for AL... I haven't bothered listening to any of his stuff since "trespassing" which I downloaded one time and ran through a week... wasn't much I could care for but I tried.
at least it was a little more rock ish. Still very bland seeming though. I *DID* like hearing Brian and Roger doing "Two Fux" on the last tour I attended.
Yeah I knew you were joking, I do like Paul's voice just never really checked any deeper into his work than the commercial songs I've heard for some reason.
I like odd songs off Trespassing (Chokehold) is my favourite but I actually prefer him doing most stuff live than the studio versions tbh, he changes stuff up more live and obviously having real instruments is better than the over processed versions on the albums, at least for me.
I never heard Two Fux live but I really don't like the recorded version, not a song I ever took to at all.
His new album is very different to the other stuff he's done, mostly real instruments rather than electronic and I do like the funky bass on most of the songs but the two ballads are my favourites (Closer To You and Feel Something).

Yeah I do think he'd have been great with a band but it's clearly not something he really wanted to do, he does seem to prefer being a solo artist and whilever he's doing the QAL stuff he couldn't have a band anyway, can't imagine they'd be willing to just wait around while he went off touring with Brian & Roger.
I'd love his next album to be more rock based personally but I guess we'll just see what he comes up with, my bet is he'll put out odd songs here and there over the next year or so rather than work on another album straight away.
Enigma wrote: Lambert is not doing himself any favours been stuck in Queen,
why should YOU give a flying fuck "what favours he's doing himself? you've often said how much you hate him. Oh, Gerry has spoken and AL will heed his pearls of jizzdom?
Enigma wrote:because that will stick with him now forever and lets face it he has blew his solo career away now because of it.
utterly clueless comment. sorry but it is. succeeding someone else in a major rock back does not harm someone's career.
Bon Scott >> Brian Johnson = AC/DC went from being a popular rock band to becoming biggest rock band on planet
Ian Gillan >> David Coverdale = Coverdale went on to front Whitesnake - who were huge worldwide
Ozzy Osbourne >> Ronnie Dio = leaves Rainbow, joins Sabbs, successful, forms own band - more commercial success.
Also, while we're on this topic - people can also break with what they know - venture elsewhere and be successful - often more so.
All FOUR Beatles >> were successful after 1970 - ALL earning much more in the 1970s than they ever did during the 1960s (while in the world's biggest band)
Ozzy Osbourne >> has been much more successful solo than he ever was in Sabbath. - 30+ years of record sales and tours.
Peter Gabriel >> he left Genesis, chose his own career path - enjoyed much greater success than 1970s Genesis - without "selling out" like 80s Genesis in the process.
Sammy Hagar >> singer in two big rock bands - but has enjoyed success solo.
Robert Plant >> doing so well/enjoying his non-Zep projects, that in 2014 he reportedly tore up a proposed $800m contract to reform Zep. - yep - the second biggest grossing rock act of all time.
There is no stigma, and it doesn't necessarily "commit" the artist to only ever doing one thing. Some artists are happy to stay where they are, others do spread their wings.
Enigma wrote:He is clueless as to what type of music is him.
seriously? not a bit of it. he's happy doing what he's doing - he's earning a nice living doing what he loves - singing. i wouldn't call that "clueless" - "clued up" more like
Enigma wrote:If he just stuck to been original and stop trying to be other people in his songs and get decent song writers in maybe he will go top 20 in the Uk singles chart!
here you go again, Gerry. you don't ever stop to think before hitting your keyboard do you?
he is being original. he is being himself. you've spent forever slagging the guy off - calling him a "fat tranny", "tw*t", "talent-less clown" and similar, and NOW you claim he could have top 20 hits with decent song-writers. you contradict yourself - by conviently ignoring your own historical commentary.

True. But no one in the music industry cared. There are thousands of similar bands. Why should they give a band with a singer, who wears nail polish and makeup a chance?
Their music was only released after Adam had become famous.

Pretty sure the dates signify FM's birthdate. But may be misconstrued owing to the differing ways dates are spelled er represented in different countries.
Here it's day/month/year while in much of the UK and abroad it can be month/day/year
And for data retention I've seen it year/day/month.
Anyways prob last comment here. Those Citizen Vein photos. ..Lambert looks like Gary Numan's chubby bastard son.
If i get enough boredom and space on my hands maybe I'll listen

I’m surprised Adam isn’t on Hollywood Records like Queen are.
Hollywood Records even has a spot on their page about QAL.
SweetCaroline · Member since
So Adam has done both. He has been a flamboyant frontman for Queen and he has been the lead singer for a 4 person backing band! He has even traveled to China and performed with a house band. Who else has done all of that? Adam Levine? Paul Hewson?

By the way, if Adam is never remembered for anything else, I think he will always be remembered for this magnificent performance:

Most people never heard it. Also, everyone knows him for either American Idol or Queen.
