About Bono, there’s nothing wrong with putting political messages in songs. Some artists became politicians (Sonny Bono, that guy from Beds are burning, can’t recall any more at the moment).
Barry White sung many songs about (making) love...so did Paul McCartney. I love his music, but can’t say his lyrics are extremely good

My question is: should a songwriter be rewarded on such a high level for his lyrics?
