This was always going to happen. They have been touring for years,lots of people have seen the act, so a live album is due. Whether or not any proper Queen legacy material also comes out sometime is independent of this release.

Good points n all. Though I'm not the greatest fan of the collaboration this was long overdue.

Unfortunately it's a cash grab instead of what was a rumored LAS VEGAS show

I saw some concerts with Adam and the quality of the show was very very high. Better then most of the concerts i have been to. And that was quit a lot back in the 80s, 90s and early 00’s they were very enjoyable indeed.

I did buy return of the champions too. Must admit i never watch it. But then., paul rogers couldnt really pull it off beside his own songs.

Adam Lambert is for me a pain with the rock songs. But man.. the kid can sing.
Would love to see wwtlf with an indoor lightning show.

The reasoning that they want to cash in because of the missed tour is just a speculation at most, most likely they don’t need any income anymore. They are multi millionaires if not billionaires. Thanks to Adam Lambert, Queen is able to perform live and this release is a document of it.
When you are still relevant, which is Queen, I’d say even more than ever then you want to release your latest product and not the outtakes that a small niche of your audience is interested in.
