I thought it was fine/good. Nice to hear a "different" song than what has been played live for the past XX years.
I am not sure that anyone could say Adam isn't a good singer. It is comparison that hurts - he obviously doesn't have Freddie's tone, presence, etc. But - he is a better fit than Paul Rodgers. And - unfortunately - Brian and Roger don't have the edge of what they used too.[/QUOTE]
Thank you for the response. Yes, I agree. Unfortunately, the replacement singer will always be compared with the original. Adam is in a terrible spot, because that singer happens to be Freddie. But I admire the guy for taking on the challenge. He doesn’t have the tone or resonance, but he has everything else, and most importantly is consistent.

Adam does not have what it takes to be a member of Queen, where is his song writing abilities then and he cannot play any instrument !
He is far less talented than super Mercury who was a dynamic front man and a very clever one at that.

you continue to utter some stink-laden excrement. Lambert has released four albums to date, and the following songs he is a credited writer for.
2009: For Your Entertainment
Strut ++ Aftermath ++ Broken Open ++ Down the Rabbit Hole ++ Voodoo ++
2012: Tresspassing
Trespassing ++ Cuckoo ++ Shady ++ Kickin' In ++ Pop That Lock ++ Broken English ++ Underneath ++ Chokehold ++ Outlaws of Love ++ Running ++ By The Rules ++ Nirvana ++ Take Back ++ Map
2015: The Original High
Ghostown ++ The Original High ++ Another Lonely Night ++ There I Said It ++ Rumours ++ Lucy ++ Things I Didn't say ++ Heavy Fire ++ After Hours
2020: Velvet
Velvet ++ Superpower ++ Stranger You Are ++ Roses ++ Closer To You ++ Loverboy ++ Overglow ++ Coming in Hot ++ Love Don't ++ On The Moon ++ New Eyes ++ Ready To Run ++ Feel Something

So Adam has wrote all those songs and not one hit among them all that is so sad!
His song writing ability is as pathetic as his presence on stage lol

If you're going to measure song writing success by the number of hits or chart positions Queen lag behind so many artists year on year.
Cut that further if you look at the number of hits Freddie wrote.

I think that would depend on the country. In the UK, they would fare pretty well against other artists, especially in these all-time charts (best selling album, the biggest amount of top 40 hits, longest presence on album charts).

You are wandering away from the topic of this thread.
Queen's record sales are still very impressive and they are the only band in the UK to have the most record sales with "Greatest Hits"
No other band has come close.

Absolutely. I was thinking about singles sales. There have been many other artists who charted higher and more regularly then Queen. Bo Rhap being an exception during Freddie's life.
Their album sales are huge, but mainly because of GH1. The other albums don't come close. Take away the Greatest Hits album and their sales fall short of a lot of comparable major acts and they never released a studio album that matched Dark Side Of The Moon or Rumours or a number of other big selling studio offerings ( not compilations ) from other artists.

You're the person who brought up the subject of hits.

Vocal Harmony : I am merely pointing out that without Brian /Roger your favourite sugar honey Adam is a flop.
His solo records are garbage and he is a garbage cheap artist who pretends he is a star.
Queen keep him standing on his feet and without them he would be on the floor in a heap.
Anyone one us could do what he does on stage, sparkly outfits to make believe he is it and a legend band behind him
and he thinks he can sing better than Freddie what a complete knob he is.

If anyone can do what he can, do you mean sing Who Wants To Live Forever live in the key it was recorded in, which Freddie never did?
I don't recall Lambert ever saying he was a better singer than Freddie.
Back to "anyone can do what he does on stage" why aren't you up there then?

Queen has outsold others such as Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd also had a few successful albums, but Fleetwood Mac basically had their one big break. Queen is one of the most consistent artists when it comes to sales. They didn't just have one big successful album, they had a few quite successful albums, consistently. That is why Queen is the 4th best selling artist of all time, Pink Floyd is 7th and Fleetwood Mac is 25th.
Queen's catalog was slightly mismanaged through the years. If they had not released their Greatest hits albums compilation that early in their career, then their studio albums would have sold more.

It is like apples and oranges. When Freddie sang Who Wants To Live Forever live, he did it in a much more operatic fashion, then even the studio version. He did not sing it with distortion live, it is much easier to hit high notes when you use distortion. That is
partly why opera singers only sing up to C5, for the most part. Popular singers can use other techniques such as distortion and a lot of headvoice to sing higher. Adam does not use anything, in his singing, that is close to a more operatic style.
Adam lowers I Want To Break Free, while the song was never lowered for Freddie.
They had different types of voices. Adam is a Lyric tenor, they have thin, light and higher chest voices. Freddie was a dramatic tenor, they have more powerful, heavier, richer and slightly lower voices. Voices also change over time, Freddie started out as more of a Lyric tenor.
Adam's voice is also changing, he hasn't really hit any very high notes for years now. He has never the A5 note in Under Pressure, Freddie did it from time to time.
But again this is just difference in their voices, Freddie had a very good falsetto, Adam does not have much of a falsetto.
In the last tour Adam has started to lower more and more songs, and he is skipping more and more high notes, his voice is becoming lower and deeper. He cannot really hit the high notes anymore like he used to.
But I don't mean that in derogatory sense, I personally think his voice sound better then it used to sound, it just isn't that high anymore.

Looking at the figures you have quoted 11 of the top 15 artists have sold more studio albums then Queen.
You mention Fleetwood Mac's Rumours as being their break through and the rest didn't really sell well. The album before Rumours Sold over 5 million in the US the album Tusk regarded as a flop by their record company shifted over 2 million in the States.
Floyd shifted over 19 million Dark Side Of The Moon and 12 million copies of The Wall, their lowest selling classic period album Animals sold over 4 million.
Queen's studio albums were never in that league.
The timing of Greatest Hits was hardly miss managed it was their biggest seller, and,if anything, resulted in more interest in the back catalogue at the time.

@Vocal Harmony : Regardless of Pink Floyd it is Queen that holds the record for the biggest album ever sold in UK sales history with "Queen's Greatest Hits" !
And just off the record Queen were always a classier act than Pink Floyd,
