I was lucky enough to see Queen at least once on every UK tour from Hyde Park (76) to Knebworth (86). The best Queen gig looking back now would be Knebworth because it was Freddie's last but having said that the Bingley hall Stafford gigs of 77 & 78 would take some beating.
From an emotional level the Tribute Concert was just something else with complete strangers crying together & hugging together at the end when they showed Freddie on the video screens.
Liveaid was something else that made being a Queen fan feel very special I can tell you inside the stadium everybody was with the band regardless of who they had originally come to see. The only 2 acts to come anywhere near were Bowie & U2 and The Who were the biggest disappointment of the day.
The other artists I have seen over the last 30years who I've really enjoyed are
The DAMNED (50+ Times)
Stranglers - Manchester Apollo 1980
Robbie Williams (yes really) - M.E.N. areana 2001
The Cross (Various)
Roger & Brian of course
Slade - Victoria Hall Hanley 1981
Hazel O'Conner - Shrewsbury Music Hall 1980
Stiff Little Fingers - Liverpool Royal Court 1983
Thin Lizzy - Wembley Areana 1979
Dire Straits - NEC 84
U2 - NEC 87
Elton John - NEC 86
I could go on forever here but the worst show I think I've ever been to was Cliff Richard in 1975 bloody awful he was!
