When I heard The Miracle album, I thought Party and Kashoggi's ship were all one song because there is such a short gap between the songs, they seemed to merge together, I can't listen to Party now without the much needed Kashoggi's ship concluding the song. Were they meant to merge together like that or was it accidental?

Since there's also a stand-alone version of Khashoggi's Ship somewhere in the Queen archives, they were probably written and recorded apart and then added together later on for the album.
So what about Flick Of The Wrist and Lily Of The Valley, or The Prophet's Song written by Brian and Love Of My Life written by Freddie?
FOTW/LOTV were written apart, as the melody doesn't segue - they were just crossfaded. Same for the Prophet's Song I think - maybe they added the piano part later on to segue into LOML.
I think Party totally needs KS to conclude it, it's not the same, Party ends weird without KS, don't you think?
'Party' is absolutely the worst song ever recorded by Queen. Whenever I play 'The Miracle', I always start with 'Khashoggi's Ship', so I always view that as the opening track of 'The Miracle'.
I love guitars in Party- amazing!!!
I've always felt too that somehow Kashoggi's is an extension of Party, in a similar way With a Little Help is with Sgy Pepper's, but who knows... Brian once said that Kashoggi and Worth It were the two possible endings of the album, so it seems that Party and KS weren't one piece
How can you dis' party? It's an amazing song but not without KS maybe. Cos it ends weird otherwise. But still, a great song, definitley not worst. The worst I've heard is GDML.
"How can you dis' party?"
Easy. I hate it. There!

I never thought of these 2 songs to be written for each other. since they're not similar at all, and the don't blend in very well. (Queen example: Flick of the Wrist/Lily of the Valley) The guitar just starts during the last vocals.
So it sounds like they were just pasted together.
As for Fairy feller/nevermore, I think Freddie didn't write those songs on side B to be a big medley, I'm pretty sure they came up with that idea later, and added some extra pieces to make it blend better (like they did in live shows aswell).

I love Party and KS!
I wish they weren't stuck together like that, 'cuz I think Party is GRRRRRREEEEAAAT, but loses steam during K's Ship. During K's Ship I always get bored by the time "Everybody drank my wine, if you get my drift" is sung, and I get the drift all too vividly... eeeeeewww. Bit "hard to swallow", "if you get my drift"...

i like both songs , they are cool
Sgt Pepper's was a kind of creating alter-egos, that's why in the end the fictional Billy Shears is introduced, and so WALHFMF start. Of course it wasn't like Paul thought of the whole two songs at once, they just used some ideas he had and created the two songs out of them.
