Queen + Valensia

What would do you think if B/R rerecord some early Queen track with Valensia ?

If they did that it would be a kinda betray to Montsi & Freddie...IOM

I have modified my question, I wrote "early classic track" but I meant "early classic Queen track", not classical music :)

In that case it could be fun...but still no QUEEN song is a QUEEN song without Freddie and again all this IMO!

My intention is not to bring the "there is no Queen with without Freddie" war again... I only would like to know what people think of THIS Valensia idea, comparing with "Queen+Five", "Queen+RW" , "Queen+John F", "Queen+Britney", etc.
They obviously want to use the name "Queen+somebody", so what about somebody = Valensia ? :-)

I see no use in re-recording old songs. You want to move on in your life and not re-do what you already did decades ago. I can see no musical challenge in re-recording the old catalogue with other artists.

I see your point YV, but my idea is that if they release a single with a Queen track under the name of Queen+Valensia , and people like it, maybe this could lead to the recording of new music with Valensia. To me, the guy captured the Queen spirit perfectly and certainly could inspire the guys to make the style of music we like, the good old Queen style !

I understand what you mean, Henrique, but I just think it's impossible to re-create the "Queen spirit" if you only find a like-minded musician(even if the remaining Queen members wanted to re-create this spirit). The group was a lucky coincidence and it's gone, no matter how much we may regret it. Brian and Roger are very good musicians/songwriters and they have all the options, money and means to do whatever they want but unfortunately, new songs are not high up on their priority list which is a shame. I think "Invincible Hope" is a great song because it does not aim to sound like Queen, it's a true Roger song and it's awesome.

Yes, IH is good, and has Treana on it. Since they are working with other artists lately, I think that Valensia would be an excellent choice to invite to do something.
His ideas for arrangements are incredible - on "I´m In Love With My Car", for example, I can hear an imaginary duet of Kate Bush with Freddie !
I think they CAN create a huge hit with him, and go back to the charts with new material ... influenced by someone who is influenced ... by themselves !

I think Valensia did a pretty good job on his tribute album recreating that spirit, listen to My Fairy King...

Henrique, I would be the first to welcome a cooperation of Brian/Roger with Valensia or any other artist to create something new, I just don't think they should keep re-recording their old material.
