It must be a blue moon tonight, because I've decided to start a topic here.
The sole purpose of this topic is for me to declare that for me perhaps the finest moment Queen ever comitted to tape is to be found between 3:26 and 4:06 on White Queen.
It gets me every single bloody time. What a climax!
Bri may not know his parasites from his fans, but the man definitely knows (or did know) how to build a song and a guitar part.
I urge you all to go and listen to this bit now, and I dare you to deny the utter brilliance of it.

Not disagreeing, but the climax of WATC is the one for me....

It's the best part of the song.

I love White Queen live, but don't find the studio version to be special. The interaction of Fredie's piano and Brian's guitar is amazing.

- The opening guitar chords on One Vision.
- The intro of Don't Stop Me Now. What a voice!
- The climax in Under Pressure.
- The "waterfall"-like delay guitar harmonies in Brighton Rock on Live Killers.
- The grand finale of "The Hero" - it always makes me wish I would sing that in a big choir.
- the guitar solo of Coming Soon
- Intro of Breakthrou
From Freddie:
- the early version of Golden Boy: that crescendo vocal
part in the intro.
From Brian:
the album intro of "...Light"

The guitar solo in It's A Hard Life.
The last Verse of A Winter's Tale "It's all so beautiful"
"Your're staring at me, with suspicion in your eyes"
The last 40 seconds of Good Company
"Sock it to 'em Rog"
I could go on.

Perhaps (all or) a great deal of songs will have their best 40 seconds in them, but what first comes to mind for me is the start of Bohemian Rhapsody and it's operatic part, and the start of Death On Two Legs.

Perhaps it post 46664 fever but Say it Ain't True is a fine song and deserves to be on Jim Beach's Money making scheme, sorry I mean Greatest Video Hits III.

Good call with the last 40 seconds of Good Company Banquers.
That's definitely up there with the bit I mention in White Queen, but the enjoyment you get from the end of Good Company is more to do with appreciating how clever Brian is, and wryly smiling to yourself at the cheek of the man to create such a great sounding little dixie-band out of his guitar.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this bit, it just doesn't hit you in the gut and heart like my bit from White Queen does.

I do like most Queen fans prefer the live version of White Queen the interaction between Freddie and Brian is brilliant. But Good Company, and I do hope Brian reads this, is absolute genius and it all comes from talent, a guitar made from a fireplace and an amp which was built by the bass-player from bits he found in a skip. You couldn't script that if you tried.

I can't make up my mind, but the guitar solo in It's A Hard Life is a masterpiece.
And Good Company! Yes he's a genius!
Oh, and the Brighton Rock solo, when played live, is something incredible. I know that most of you find his 14 mins solos boring, but I really love them!

ah yeah, i think the big band outro of Good Company is just brilliant
