The climax of Black Queen before "voice from behind" is just wonderful: those fast octave bass scales in the piano, at the same time guitar is doing fills, brian plays tubular bells and a lot of Freddie's are screaming. Awesome.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

I also love the part you mentioned. It reminds me a lot of Ogre Battle and Death on Two Legs. A lot of loud music and screams and then suddenly silence and soft vocals

Who is black queen? I would like to hear the screams during her climax. I'll bet that is a great forty seconds.

(my apologies for being a smart ass on this topic, but I could not help myself)

seriously....any live ending of WATC....just because of the memories of being there in person so many times

Millionaire Waltz also has that abrupt 'A Day In The Life-like' arrangement simplification. I just love it

I start to believe in all those theories about promoting the WWRY musical. And if those theories are right, that means the Black Queen in the song March Of The Black Queen, is the black lady who plays Killer Queen in the musical

"The 40 seconds of "I can take you"."

You've got to be kidding, you really think that's the finest 40 Queen seconds ever?

Considering the most widely available tape of 'I Can Take You' is 40 seconds long, I'd say it was just a (pretty funny) joke.

White Queen is a pretty awesome track but I guess there are so many 40 second Queen sound bites we all love!

We could construct our ultimate Queen song lasting say 5 minutes comprising of:
an intro
4 Verses
Guitar Solo
Outro
all from different tracks now that would be interesting!??
Shadow boxing with yourself just seems to get you no where!

I love the (several) climaxes right after the vocals section of "The Prophet's Song". Especially when they get to "Aaaahhhh...." (guitar echoes it) "....children of the land." It's just mixed absolutely perfectly, at least on my Hollywood (ahem) CD. I kept playing those few seconds over and over in my car not too long ago hehe

Also the part on Live Killers where the crowd is begging for more and then Brian starts "Tie Your Mother Down" is awesome :) Same thing at the beginning of "Keep Yourself Alive" come to think of it....
"I have no time for Time magazine. Or Rolling Stone." Jethro Tull
