When are people going to wise up and quit calling Brian and Roger, Queen. It shows a complete stupidity on the part of the person who identifies half of Queen as Queen. For Brian and Roger, it's a commercial decision. For those who repeat it, it's an unintelligent decision. My question is this, did Brian and Roger do anything great in 2003? I know they insist on becoming theatre moguls and doing benefit shows that aren't even worth a free download.

What a waste of talent. This would be like Van Gogh trying to be a carpenter or Michael Jordan trying to play Baseball. It's such a waste of fine musical talent. Why can't they just continue on with their solo careers or merge together under the Taylor/May or May/Taylor flag and do what they were meant to do. They are pissing away their older years by undertaking endeavors best left to others. Obviously it's their business what they do, not mine but I sure wish "We Will Rock You" the musical would fade away into oblivion so that they can move on to bigger and better things.

Screw Nelson Mandela(not really but sort of), Screw 5ive, Screw Robbie Williams, and especially SCREW BEN "FREAKING I wrote the stupidest sounding play ever" ELTON!

The worst of Queen this year well not enough of them doing new stuff 46664 was a start lets hope for more. I think its about time they stopped recording WWRY with anyone who can sing! Overall though the only downside to being a Queen follower at the moment is having to read shite like the post above!

To each their own opinion of what is "Queen" now. I'll stick to my ideal of the original Queen, and not the musical/pepsi advert/pop-collaboration ditrabe that "Queen +" is now.

It is stupid to call a Freddie-less band Queen, it defeats the whole purpose. The Rolling Stones are still the Rolling Stones because they have the essential members. As long as Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are still running the show, it's the Stones. Guns N' Roses is a complete joke, they arent' 50%, they are 20% now. Only Axl. Very stupid indeed.

Not only is Freddie irreplaceable but they haven't even attempted to replace either him or John Deacon. They are no longer the true sense of Queen and have been trying to capitalize for awhile now on their name while they still do their thing.

For them to call themselves Queen is a commercial decision. For you to, shows your, yes, stupidity! Get over it! Quit dreaming that they will be Queen, because you call them that. Or, keep calling them Queen and those of us with true respect for the band that ended November '91 will keep laughing at you from our computers.

He didn't diss his fans, he was mad at the people who downloaded the 46664 mp3s for free, or uploaded them to the internet. But i guess he said this because he was a bit pissed off at the media for giving all the credits to Bono and Beyonce

While I admire your morals you need to realise that Brian & Roger have every right to call themselves Queen, Queen + or whatever they like and I for one will SUPPORT them either way because they are great musicians and have along with a few others provided the soundtrack to my life.
Now as for you Mr. Battle I am glad they are taking no notice of you but obviously I am not surprised LIFE GOES ON and THE SHOW MUST GO ON

This symphony idea is brilliant.. if they could just create one without adding vocals! I'd love to hear a truly instrumental symphony of Queen music, but next time, leave out the vocals. At that point, it just becomes a really bad cover version, you know? ;)

It is up to Brian and Roger themselves if they want to call themselves "Queen" or not. That is not your decision, arsewipe.

Suppose you started a band called "Ogre", with 3 other members. Over the years, two of your members either die or retire, and you and that other person were otherwise "Ogre". Would YOU still call yourself "Ogre" despite having only two original members, one being you, of the original lineup?

Brian May & Roger Taylor defined the "Queen Sound" as much as Freddie and John they can call themselves what they like. Queen are progressing I have no problem with people saying they don't like what Queen are doing now, music is all about personnal taste & opinion but I for one would love to see Queen tour again playing a full set with or without a main singer admittedly I would prefer a Rock Show, to a karoke type play the hits pop show but the chance to take part in a Queen gig again would be brilliant.

Of course it won't be the same but it would be a million times better than no show at all. I defy anyone who was at the FM tribute to say they didn't enjoy it and that they didn't cry at the end!

How can people take offense on a message board? You don't know me, I don't know you. The internet is completely non-personal. Instead of getting hurt or upset that Rich Tea made his negative comments towards me, I told him to kill himself. I doubt he gives a rat's ass, I know I don't.

And for those of you who can't read, I never said Brian and Roger didn't have a right to call themselves Queen. I just said that it's a purely commercial decision on their parts and that it should be recognized as such. For them to say they are Queen makes sense because they are trying to make money. I'm just saying, they're not. And if Freddie and Deacon were continuing on because Brian died and Roger retired, I would be saying the exact same thing. To call them Queen without Freddie, shows a psychological weakness. Let go, wake up, realize they are not Queen and move on with your lives.

Or, keep calling them Queen. Go ahead and pretend. This world is full of pretenders. Go pretend that Jesus will save you, that Brian and Roger are Queen. Go see them belt out a concert as Queen with female background vocalists and the ususal track list of: Tie Your Mother Down, Radio Ga Ga, We Will Rock You. Pretend that it's still Queen, pretend that it's still good. Pretend away, enjoy fantasy land.
