Is it me or have U2 released for the 25 past years the same crappy music.U2 are one of those bands that keep going because people are brainwashed to like them with their crappy propaganda tv stations, who promote bands like U2 and other commercial crap bands.
Also,Bono thinks that he's some kind of world leader, which really isn't.What I hate about him it's his cheap shots and his attitude that we aren't doing enough by his criteria. Bono has more money than I will ever make. Let him start an AIDS clinic in Africa, and then stay there and see just what the actual doctors and nurses are having to deal with.
There is more to this than charity, you know,it's a matter of changing mentalities(That's the real issue).

Oh yeah! Bono is such a f**king asshole! I can't believe this guy!
I mean, what's his problem? The guy gives thousands of hours to charity and causes. That's SO selfish! I mean, of course, we ALL know celebrities can't actually feel real emotions or actually want to help less fortunate people, so it MUST have been done out of pure greed and some ridiculous need for more PR!
And how DARE he purchase a nice place to live in New York! He should be out living in a shack somewhere! I mean, how dare he spend any of his dough on himself? Selfishness! Greed! Hypocrisy! We should draw and quarter him on the floor!
this topic is getting ridiculous. Bono is a great person. Why can't you guys give him a break?

You know guys, at first I thought it was kind of wrong to bash Bono for his charity work and all that stuff.
But what really bothers me is that on every single interview related to 46664 the prick never mentions Dave Stewart or Queen, who were the ones who initially came up with the idea of organizing the whole concert. Bono himself jumped on the train later on, but it seems to me like he wants the whole media to think that he's the "goody two-shoes" who started it all, and he goes on Oprah, CNN, BBC to tell everybody that here's Bono once again ready to "save the world".
Honestly, I've lost some of my respect towards Bono. It sickens me that this man is involved into all this charities just expecting to get media attention in return.

Ah, to live in the same world as Jingles, where facts are replaced with one-sided accusations.
"Bono himself jumped on the train later on"
Bono was involved with the original 46664 concept as put forth by Dave Stewert and Joe Strummer. His involvement certainly pre-dates Queen's.
"but it seems to me like he wants the whole media to think that he's the "goody two-shoes" who started it all"
Let's see: Lead singer of the biggest band in the world fresh off a huge tour/album with another one expected soon, or a bunch of oldies who haven't released anything in the last decade? Which one do you think the media wants to talk to? You don't expect the media to really care who started it all, do you? But, of course, it's easier to blame Bono then the media to support your claims.
"he goes on Oprah, CNN, BBC to tell everybody that here's Bono once again ready to "save the world"."
Show me that quote. All I've heard is his talk on how "we" (the Western world) need to get involved. But that doesn't really back up your baseless allegations.
And one for Holly:
"Besides, anyone who shouts "Fuck the revolution" to a bunch of plastic paddys is all right by me."
"Sing 'NO MORE'"
"NO MORE"

According to brianmay.com Roger and Brian joined the project in March 2003 after the first concert was cancelled. Bono, Dave Stewart and the late Joe Strummer were the ones who initially started the event.
Edit: I did not see your post, Zeni - I am a slow typer:-)
