"I'd like to have seen Freddie trash a piano.

Freddie: Blasted piano! *Ungh* *Ugh* Oh, bugger that *smokes*
John: Freddie! You said you'd give up on those! You're always like this when we go out!
Freddie: Shut up, you prat.
Brian: Can we have another sandwich?
J&F: NO!
Roger: ZzzZZzzzZZZz

So there you have it a fool proof explanation about why Brian doesn't want any Christmas mail/presents."

LMAO!

RT threw his kit around at the end of the Rainbow show, but it does look like it's only because he's being filmed...

Not sure HOW I get that feeling. I just do.

Roger also trashed his drum kit in Barcelona 74

properly trashed like Pete Townshend, or shoved over a bit like on the Rainbow vid?

...btw good memory for detail - on Martin's behalf can I ask if you still have the ticket stub?

LOL P_G :)

I believe the official sources (books) describe at least one concert after which Roger trashed his drumkit but I can't remember the dates. Wasn't it Japan 1975? Also I believe one of Crystal's stories includes drumkit-trashing too :-)

Yes, but that was every night.

And that wasn't getting pissed, either. It was all part of the stage performance, and the intensity of the song.

Many years ago I used to collect newspaper cuttings about Queen from around the world, I had one that stated during a show in the US Freddie got upset about something not happening on stage at the right moment, a lighting cue I think, and kicked Rogers kit, Roger was then meant to have pushed a cymbal stand back at him and a small fight broke out, which ended with Freddie storming off stage with John in tow, and Roger and Brian left waiting for his return.

If I remember correctly it was in the NME, which if you don't know was the biggest pile of crap going, so I am confident that it was made up just to slag Queen off as that was what they did in those days.

Nothing even worth wiping your bum on was ever written in NME, but there you go just thought I'd share it.

And sorry no I don't have the clip anymore, but I think it was around the late seventies, early eighties timeframe
