Another thing for the convention organisers in the US.
Why not hold the convention in Las Vegas? According to this, the WWRY musical will open on mid Sept. It will be a grand opportunity.

"Surviving Queen players Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon have supported the production and are expected to attend the Vegas opening."
Even John eh? :) I heard he's been spotted at least at one performance, but I can't quite imagine him traveling all the way to Vegas for this.

Ah, but the question is, will it come near me? *hopes and prays*

Well there are rumours about the travelling show, so who knows Mandy.
I'd say, save for Vegas :P

I can't! I'd have to sneak past my parents! And if you think they'd ship me out to Vegas, you've got another think a-comin'! *cries*

Alex, you're OLD enough -- GO!!
Me, not so sure. Too many money traps in Vegas, too much temptation. Brian and Roger SHOULD really consider New York City. Many great places to hold a musical debut there!

Just THINK of all the lap dances he would enjoy!! ;-))

Lisa I don't think they'll reconsider. The deal of doing it in Las Vegas has already been done, so it seems by the article.
I too wondered why did they didn't consider Broadway. If they want their show to be respected, and at the same time, make money, they'll should've decided on NY.
However, Las Vegas, is more of a monetarial venture, rather than a artistic venture. I think Brian and Roger's ambition is to make more money out of this, so it seems. I don't see why. I'm sure they have tons of it already, and the musical has been a hit. Also, Las Vegas, for me, is a very tacky place to pull off a musical.
Bleh, let them do whatever they want. I know that I'm not going.

LOL Lisa! You are absolutetly right!
Not only John will get those lap dances, but I imagine Roger will be looking for his next bride in those clubs!

The "We Will Rock You Musical" schtick and excess will fit in perfectly with Vegas. The "We Will Rock You Musical" hardly qualifies as fine art, and an opening in tacky Vegas is probably more suitable than an opening on Broadway.
