Sorry but While both gigs were excellent Knebworth was by far the best performance, atmoshere and overall event (apart from the loo's & Car Park!!!).
Don't believe me listen to AOBTD on Live Magic compared to Live at Wembley!

From what I've heard, the sound quality is on par with Wembley. But Knebworth feels better. Performance does seems better.
Peace,
Adam.

I recently saw the Knebworth footage. If they have or find that footage, thats enough for a DVD release.
My point :
- There was a camera in a helicopter..
- A camera at the sound board...
+ about 5-7 around the stage...
Maybe more... I dunno...!!
From the footage I've heard, I notice more energy and magic than the Wembley show... !!
Hope it will be seen some day.... !!

I'll stick to my plan that Queen should release a rare live box set, like Led Zeppelin did last year. Actually I think they should release at least two, one'with 70's and one with 80's gigs. That way they can stuff everything together that they consider not good enough to be commercially marketable on it's own. If Zepp can do it (with pretty big succes!), so can Queen. (What happened to the 'Live Killers'-DVD box plans???)
(don't get me wrong: these boxes should be in ADDITION to not INSTEAD OF any possible future full show-releases. I'm talking stuf they consider not commercial enough on it's own for whatever reason. Either way no excuse NOT to release (parts of) Knebworth and of course all tbe other stuff that we hunger for to see in as good as possible quality... Also Hyde Park for instance could be there: not marketable on it's own because of the bad master quality, definately good enough to be included in such a set. And of course there are a lot more examples...

The dvds released by Queen Productions are intended to appeal to a mass audience. For 90% of the Queen fans out there, one show from the Magic tour is enough. They do not know or probably care that Knebworth was better. Why have two dvds with basically the same set list? Knebworth may be the better show, but if someone were to pick up the dvd at their local store and look at it, they would think "this is the same as the Wembley dvd I already have". At any rate, Q.P. and Brian May are not going to release any show to dvd that is so incomplete visually as Knebworth is, unless one of the band members or their management or whomever has a personal copy of a complete filmed account. That I doubt because they put all of their chips on a film of Wembley. Budapest was filmed only because it was a special show behind the "Iron Curtain". I would be surprised if we see a dvd of that show simply because of the similarity to Wembley set list-wise. Our only hope may be a limited edition release available to only Queen fans through QUEENONLINE or some official entity representing Queen.

...or a Zeppelin-wise box set... ;-)

Well ... to add my opinion - it would be great to see an official release of the Knebworth show. I was there and remember what a great day in the sunshine it was. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

And a DVD-A release would be most welcome. Even a normal cd release. Most welcome, indeed.
Peace,
Adam.

I don't think a Knebworth release is really worth it. With the release of Wembley on DVD/CD, Live Magic on CD, and Budapest on Laserdisc, the Magic Tour has been definately represented (if not over-represented).

Agreed. Bring on some Hot Space stuff, or anything before.
