Other than those annoying avatars and smilies there's also those never ending nested quotes that really **** me off on QOL, especially when they include embedded images.

Are you guys on modems? Is that why you don't want them?
But if you get the option to not view them in an options setup screen, you'll not be bothered by them. While others can have them on. Sounds like a solution to me.
