Love the song! I just downloaded some live performance of it... and it sounds really good! When did they ever do this song live?
If this has already been answered before, I don't want to be yelled at! :X

It was only performed on the American leg of the 1982 tour, I believe.
One of their worst songs, in my opinion - why it was released as the first single from Hot Space is beyond me (hell, why it was RECORDED is incomprehensible).

For the record, I didn't come in here to shoot down your opinion - you've got yours, I've got mine. Sorry if my post gave that impression, I did want to give you the information while adding my own Lesterian (try pronouncing THAT) twist to it.
I didn't get that impression at all, don't worry!
Les-ter-i-an. That's easy haha

Erica, you are not alone. I estimate that about 1/4 of Queen fans rate Body Language as a better than average Queen song.

Print out the link to get the best look at the graph.
The graph is called a box and whiskers plot. The middle rectangular "box" for each song represents the middle 50% of votes while each line "whisker" on either side of the rectangular box represents the lower and upper quarter of song ratings.
Body Language is listed in the upper left hand graph, and the upper "whisker" (top 25 % of song ratings) shows song ratings above 6 (on a scale of 0 to 10).
One could also note my signature references my humble Queen Poll website if one wanted to find out more ...

I like the Hot Space album, I even like stuff like 'Staying Power', but to me, Body Language is one of the worst Queen tracks. I'll still listen to it.. I'll listen to any Queen song, but it amazes me that it was nearly a top 10 hit in the U.S. after a superb song like Under Pressure only made the top 40 here.
And yet they say it's the 'disco' sound that killed Queen here... it makes no sense.

Most Queen fans seem to dislike Body Language, but there is wide range of opinion, and some (myself included)like Body Language. Maybe these freaks of nature should be shot ... LOL
I love Body Language, it's a good song, I love it!! I love all Hot Space :)
Worst Queen song...evar.
I LOVE Hot Space, and it's without a doubt the worst track on the album. (The only other song that even has a shot at that title is Cool Cat, but Body Language definately takes it.)

imo it is not a good song, but the whole hot space is oriented in this "disco" way and many people like it

I was gonna say that :)

great song,great album!!
the song is boring with lyrics too gay, and a video I don´t know, they wanted it to make a video too sexy and they make it a video really bad :[, in concert the song is too cool less flat (I have it in Opera Omnia Set)
P.S. The worst song was Don't Try Suicide and Fun It (Roger what are you doing?)
