In my opinion i think it's absolutly one of their worst ever, maybe even nr. 1 in that list. I kind of like hot space, but not that song. I like Get Down, Make Love though, much more than Body Language :)

Dancer should have been the first single : real funky feel, radio formatted song, it could have been the "dust" continuation.

Someone said that Body Language was a top ten hit, while Under Pressure didn't make top 40 in the US. Well, to me this means Fred was in tune with the US music scene at that time for Hot Space. I think he was spending a lot of time in New York in the early '80s wasn't he? I think on balance the new sound of Hot Space was largely Fred's influence, and it seems to fit with the charting of the two songs. So, although some may say that bands shouldn't go with trends they should buck them (as I think Queen did in the '70s), I think it shows Fred was clued up and quite astute with what was required for an American audience.
The success of the two songs was reversed in the UK of course (can't remember where BL came, but we know where UP came!!!)
As for BL the song. not the best, but I can't not like any Queen song. Call me blind, but... Still, Hot Space is the albumn I listen to least!
