Uhm, I'm just a little bit confused. This is about wanting to change the Constitution so that gay marriage will be disallowed, right? This has not yet happened. Therefore, we sign a petition, because we protest, and we don't want it to happen. I don't see where we break the law.
Or, if I have gotten this wrong, we are signing a petition in order to change a law. Laws are changable, as I said they're there for the best of the people. If a majority finds it not to be the best of the people and morally to be pure unjustice, the law can change. Signing a petition in order to get this through, is not illegal.
Defending a case I fight for, is not illegal.
Where do your statement come from, then? You say I should shut my mouth about my opinions on gay marriage, because gay marriage is illegal, and everyone should shut their mouths until the law is changed? Well, I don't think laws change by themselves, so someone has to speak up - right?
If I said people should get married while it is still illegal, then I understand your point, but that I never said. I simply said I consider the law to be wrong and that it should be changed, and according to free speach I'm not doing anything illegal at all.
