Oh, since I haven't done this before, are there any rules as to
(1) the type of CD
(2) Any specific program I have to use to copy the CD (I just burn them on XP usually)
(3) Any labels, covers etc?

They need to be 700 mb / 80 minute CD's (too long for 74 minute CD's).
No rules really - just use CD's from a reputable manufacturer, and make sure the songs are copied in MP3 format and accessable by Billy Gates operating system.

Yes I disagree bullwinkle, if they don't work on a mac then my branch of the tree is going to be a very short one :-S.
I've got a mac and if the discs are formatted for PC then they won't start up. Funnily enough!
