how strange! i was listening to that song yesterday and i heard that lyric, and it seemed to stand out to me and then i had a darkness song in my head the rest of the day! coincidence! xxx

you should listen to more than one, you might like the other ones

I've heard the one song in full, And the rest of them I have heard about a minuate of each. I don't base opinions on ONE song. EVER. I gave them their chance. And that's all they'll ever get from me. I think they suck, Simple as that. They sound as though they are mocking music in general, And music is something I take VERY seriously.

Interesting joke... maybe of it were true I'd have one iota of respect for The Darkness.
Anyways- I heard that the band got their name from a saying their bassist, whatshisname Poulain used to use, "All great music comes from the darkness".
So they adopted the name The Darkness, ie, all great music comes from them. Not quite. Personally, I can't stand them. They just irritate me. A lot.
