I just got this set, And I must say, I quite like it so far! I'm on track six ("Starman") at the moment and it's all been pretty good! What does everyone else think of it?

bowie is absolutely fab-- my #2 fav-- i forget my #1 :))

now you get to break down and start buying all the cd's---

another collection grows.....

Ahh bowie... My mom made the mistake of buying me one of those "Oh the century is ending books" in 1999, I saw him and fell in love with his gorgeousity... and the fact that they called him "Androgenous Rocker David Bowie".
Hunky Dory got me hooked.

I'm quite fond of "Young Americans"......and I never knew this before...but..I never knew David Bowie was the original singer of "Across the universe" because I remember I heard a more recent version of it...strange....this week, I've found out a lot of songs that were covered..like for instance...No Doubt's new single "It's my life" was actually an 80's song, but, I forgot the singer....too many covers I must say..and why does Sheryl Crow have to do a cover of "The first cut is the deepest" when it was covered by Rod Stewart which was orginally sung by Cat Stevens....please, if a cover of a song was already made...don't think you could make it better...sorry for getting off topic but it sort of realates to my orginal comment....

Hmm, I bought that collection when it was first released and must say that I find his songs either hit or miss. I had previously purchased HUNKY DORY and loved it. 'Life On Mars' is probably my fave Bowie track.
