"Didn't he also compose a track for lennon?.. or was it the other way around."

He recorded 'Fame' with Lennon.

In addition to that: He wrote AND recorded Fame WITH Lennon, re-recorded Across The Universe WITH Lennon (both on the Young Americans album) and the other Lennon-link is the Tin Machine cover-version of Working Class Hero.

Anyway: yeah Bowie is da man! He's my absolute number two of all time after Queen since the late eighties. Saw him three times on tour last year and I've got tickets for three more shows this summer! Yihaa!!

The Best DVD is quite nice, yes. Although I am not a big fan of most of his video's I have to say. The first dvd is cool and the second half of the second dvd2 is killer. (First because of the old stuff, just his best songs and the second because I find especially the Outside and Earthling video's some of the better video's ever made by any artist. I always skip his eighties stuff though ;-)
Did you guys all find the numerous easter eggs on the dvd? They are hard to find. If you don't succeed, I could get you some cheats to find them. They're worth it!

Yesss... I got that... and I LOVE "Fame"-- it's definitely my favorite track on there because it's just SUCH a cool song. :)

Brandon-- they grow on you if you give em time

i remember with space oddity-- loving it right away-- thought the rest was wierd and well not worthy of listening--

here it is a *ahem* few years later--and Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed-- Cygnet Committe-wild eyed boy- are among my Bowie favs--

hell even the Berlin period is starting to grow on me a bit *LOL* that i thought would never..never...never happen......

Hey Iron Eagle ;-) I love those tracks too!!
You're right. Every Bowie song has to grow on ya. Ever since the first Tin Machine album, Everytime a new album comes out I run like crazy to the shop, come home, close the blins, unplug the telephone, turn off the lights and listen in absolute excitement. Rarely, I mean VERY RARELY a Bowie album hit me the first time of listening.
I remember very well being very very very disappointed with Heathen and Reality and a bit depressed after the first time I played them. Now, of course, they are both very okay and pretty high up the ladder of Bowie fav's. A Bowie album in my opinion(and I do mean an ALBUM in it's entirety) deserves at least three or four spins before they strike a chord. (Some need more ;-) It took me 10 spins of Outside before I got it, although I was very intrigued by the album already at the first time)
I bless you madly ;-)))
