I am really waiting for GVH3 to come out. I would love to see more DVDs coming out with Queen! Also, I wish I could find Freddie Mercury: The Solo Collection here in the USA. I heard that it could be found but I can't find it.

The Solo Collection used to be at the QOL shop. Haven't looked lately, but I'd bet it's still there, although it costs an arm and a leg and a spare child.

My DVD player indicates "SP" is PCM stereo and that's what's coming from my speakers.

Regardless if the concert was recorded stereo or not, you can always remix them for surround sound. It happens all the time with movies released on DVD.

"It certainly was. I asked about this before after hearing that. I wondered if a stereo recording exists. Unless your 15 minutes are fake stereo, perhaps one does :)"

I assure you it's true stereo. The drum fills at the beginning of the fast WWRY clearly move from one channel to the other.

"I think that Queen would have to have a multitrack of that concert, as they've recorded all of their concerts since 1974 professionally, and so they should be multitracks."

I'd love to believe that, but considering how Staying Power on GVH2 was in mono sound, I really don't know anymore. It may be very possible that Queen only has access to the 72 minutes of the show from the MTV broadcast. In documentaries, you rarely see anything from the concerts that aren't on the bootleg copies. The only glaring exception I can think of at the moment is Paris 79, which has a multi-cam on The Magic Years, as opposed to the single-cam bootleg video.

"I am really waiting for GVH3 to come out."

Why? It'll be the same stuff that's already been released! Or do you have the video of the complete Vienna 82 concert? :)

About this "Staying Power" proving that Milton Keynes is supposed to be next... Maybe they did clean it, but IT WASN'T ANYTHING NEW!!! We already had this song on "Magic Years"- the whole one, without anyone talking over it... So inclusion of it on GVH doesn't mean a thing...

Full Milton Keynes would be great; personally would rather to see Hammersmith'79...

One more thing.. Someone mentioned that it's different company that ownes Budapest and THEY released the video... The same is with "we Will Rock You" and if I'm not mistaken- "Live In Rio". Now- maybe if it was only up to QP, we would have never seen even those, being left with miserible stuff like "Live Magic" or "Rare Live" (apart from Wembley and "Killers")... Doesn't that mean that B. and R. aren't really interested in realising live material AT ALL- and it didn't start yesterday... Greg Brooks is saying that sth WILL BE released, but... his opinion doesn't make too much difference, does it?
All I know is that just by looking through some rock magazines I see adverts of new releases of many, many previously unpublished gigs- Jimmy Hendrix (Stockholm, Los Angeles), Thin Lizzy, etc.... God, I'm so jealous...!!!!

No, there's a big cut in the middle, leaving the song to be about 2:30.

"personally would rather to see Hammersmith'79..."

I don't think the whole show exists.

It seems that Queen doesn't want to release another live DVD soon because they'll have to match the quality standard set by Wembley. I don't think anything in their archives will match that, both audio and video. But when the day comes that I'm proven wrong, I'll be a happy man.
