Roger was there too, to give out gifts for the members of the cast who left. Yay!!
It was a really good show.

Oh yes, forgot about Roger.

He was sat in the Stalls for the 1st Act, then in the Box for Act 2.

how can anyone forget that...

I didnt see Roger until near the very end. He didnt seem very enthusiastic about the performances. Well, in comparison to Brian, who was giving performers the thumbs up!
Roger looked cute though!!

Hi, still in London at the moment (will be leaving on Tuesday 20th).
On Saturday 17th I saw both the matinee as the evening performance and the shows were stunning.
One of my companions is a friend of Tony Bourke (drummer in the musical) and he already told us something very special was going to happen. Well, we sure expected Brian to turn up, because otherwise we wouldn't have booked tickets in January. And he did! Some pictures will be on my site very soon. Brian was fantastic and the audience went crazy! As an encore he and Mig Ayesa performed WATC which started off very surprising. (reminded me of the slow Hammer to Fall version). Believe me it was just great. The evening performance was the best! Roger turned up as said, and presented the gifts. For the players and for Brian it was an emotional moment to say goodbye. This evening on April 17th it was also celebrated that the show is running for two years now.
Before the show we had met Roger outside the theatre and after the shows we met Brian, Anita Dobson, Spike, Neil Murray, Tony Bourke and of course the main characters of the We Will Rock You Musical.
On Monday 19th April I will see the musical again (13th time - tricky number that one!) to see the new cast.
As always we did meet some steady WWRY visitors, from different countries as well, including some friends and members from the Dutch Queen Fan Club. We also spoke with a Queen cover band from Argentina, who met Brian for the first time.

Rien, I saw you and the Dutch fan club yesterday. I didn't say hello as I was too embarrassed to- I thought you wouldn't know who I am.

There are changes in the show from tomorrow- "some good, some bad" is what my sources tell me.

Can I use one or two of your photos on my site? As you know, I'm not a fan of the musical at all but after all, it still counts as Brian's guest appearance :-)

Did you take photos with your mobile phone or was this a digital camera? The resolution is quite small in some cases or maybe I don't know how to use these pre-made web galleries :-)

Yes, thanks - my heart is aching when I imagine that I will actually have to watch part of the musical but when you compared WATC to slow Hammer To Fall, it sounded very promising ;-)

Hammer To Fall has been made faster recently.

A quote from Neil Murray:

The conductor can pretty much make the band do whatever they want, and let's just say that sometimes they abuse the privilege! For example, AOBTD has sometimes been ridiculously fast, and sometimes much too slow. The cast like somgs to be played faster and faster, to supposedly be more exciting, (because they get bored) or sometimes because they don't need as much breath control when the song is faster, and the end result begins to sound like a amateurish covers band. I'm glad to say that since he took over as MD, Andy Smith has finally done what I thought should have been done from the start: listen to the tempos on the original Queen tracks and stick pretty closely to them. It only took 22 months!

I'm off to see the musical again this Saturday so London watch out. I doubt I'll see Brian there but I last went for the previews and while everyone can say it was 'work in progress' they can't excuse Tony's overacting, which hadn't improved when I saw it at the convention last year. Hannah is the real star of the show so I'm glad I'm seeing her again. Though I was in a stunning seat last time her voice and the occasional 'upskirt' view was fantastic. Brazilian I wager. Though her biog said she was English-born.

No doubt Virgin trains will sour the whole experience with shitty, late trains and crap coffee.

Hi WWRY2003 (Nick). I was no part of the Dutch Fan Club group, but I travelled with 3 friends. It's nice to make contacts, so, next time, just say hello, ok? I've just added my own story about April 17th and 19th to my site (see WWRY). It's my very personal view. (sometimes one uses his own webspace to ventilate personal matters - though one does not always call it "Soapbox") :-)
The show on April 19th was great also. And indeed Hannah is perhaps the greatest star of the musical. Mig Ayesa is not a replacement for Tony, but does his own thing in a very perfect w ay. He and Hannah really connect. And Mazz Murray... well she's no Sharon D Clarke but really a new Killer Queen. She's great. New changes to the show, such as a fragment of Tie Your Mother Down. It's rocks, people!

Rien (and Nick too) - once a DVD with the musical is out (and it WILL be out - just like any other cash-in product), it will be a boxed set where besides the DVD will be a book, written by you two. Because you're undoubtedly the two biggest fans of the musical :-)
