I don’t know when the public exactly became aware of the fact that Freddie was gay. But I think it was very obvious. He behave like a homosexual and it seems that he had sex with a lot of men. Especially the time he spent in New York, he was very sexual active. He enjoyed his time in New York because he was a little bit a unanimous person in this city. But I think in that time there was already a sort of gossip press. So that the story of Freddie being gay reached the public, wasn’t that weird at all.
