What is the deal with the piano mikes? First I hear they didn't work at Hyde Park, Earls Court and now Houston! Who did they hire to record these shows? They seem to be working during Melancholy Blues on Rare Live!
So I basically have nothing to look forward. Maybe another garbage compilation cd with the three new Freddie tracks and Milton Keynes on DVD.
God, it would be nice to see a concert DVD that included Freddie without a moustache!!!!
Just in case anyone cares, I'm almost positive you can make a dts soundtrack out of almost any audio source these days. I've read DVD reviews of movies dating back to the 30's and 40's getting remastered dts and dolby digital 5.1 soundtracks. So I don't think its a case of the concert audio not being good enough. How good the dts track would sound is a different story. It probably wouldn't be as good as the We Will Rock You dts soundtrack, but it would probably be decent in its own right.
Whether you can encode into DTS is not the question. It's a "what's the point?" question. If you have a crap recording, why use DTS? If there isn't much to preserve in the sound, there's no real point of using DTS.
Peace,
Adam.
