ON vh1 uk they have had a top 100 greatest artists ever, and out band finished third.
Not at all bad really.
Elvis was number 1.
John Lennon number 2.
Queen number 3.
Madonna 4th.
Paul Mcartney 5th.
Michael Jackson 6th.
David Bowie 7th.
Robbie Williams 8th.
and i can't remember who was 9th and tenth. Elton was one of them.
So you guys might aswell name your top 10 or 5.

100 greatest artists?? Everyone else listed above in the top 10 is listed as a solo artist (Lennon, McCartney..no Beatles) and Queen is a band...confusing poll result. oh wait, Queen was that guy with a moustache who died of AIDS. I forgot. My bad.
Engelbert Humperdinck is my all time fave.
Followed by Elton John and Ivor Biggun, not too far behind.

That makes no sense.
Artist? Surely that implies an individual rather than a group, which is what the glaringly obvious omission of The Beatles seems to also suggest. Also Queen is the only group in the top 10 anyway.
Was this list compiled by one of those anuses who thinks Freddie was Queen?

LOL. Great minds think alike PMA.

That reminds me of a little incident involving my nan the other week.
We were round her house, and... it being a little dull, I normally take at least a few CDs with me. Anyway, I brought along NOTW, and my brother took the album sleeve, showed Nan the picture, and asked if she could name who they were.
Her response:
*she points at Freddie* "Oh yes, he was Queen,"
*then points at Brian* "And that was his friend."
(totally ignores Rog and John...)

actually i think it's because they never show any beatles videos because there isnt any (exept stuff from the rooftop). but apart from that it is coincidence that Queen is the only group. I can asure you that VH1 uk know that Queen wasnt just freddie. They have a Queen day at least every year.

If only VH1 in the US could have a list like that... I'd throw a two week party. :-(

I know what you mean. Instead, We get 'The Best Week Ever'... :/

'The Best Week Ever' is utter crap. Give me 'I Love the 80s' any day! Or at least some BTM that is not on:
a) Beyonce
b) Britney Spears
c) TLC
Come ON. I want my Queen VH1 Legends on again... those were quality shows. I also want to see AIDS: A Pop Culture History again. I watched that one probably 7 times and I thought it was intense and powerful.

I loved Queen: Legends! I taped it way back when, and watch it every once in a while. I wish it would come on again, So I can re-tape it. I missed part of it when I taped it. :/

I'm glad someone finally realized Madonna is a better artist than Paul McCartney or David Bowie!
(Just kidding of course ;)

Yeah, my nan's a total sweetie. Always does things like that, bless her.
And she thinks Queen are pretty good, too (even if she does know nothing about them!)
Saying that, my 13-year-old brother once sang an impromptu one-man version of Bohemian Rhapsody to her (I honestly can't remember why, though it did sound very interesting/ amusing) and once he had finished she said:
"Wow... How did you remember all those songs!"
