I don't believe I've ever heard Rufus Wainwright... What kind of music is he?

I think the last CD i bought was Dashboard Confessional's new album, "A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar." I bought it in about february, which is a long time ago. I've been a fan of theirs for about 9 months or so, & in a little less than 2 weeks i'm seeing them live in concert :-)

Awww Alli, that's so sweet. :) and yes the Rufus army will conquer the music world! muwhahahhaha
and Dan, try out these sound bites on fye and see if you like any of them. :) Rufus is sorta like Jeff Beck, but imo much cooler! :D hehe

Last two cd's I bought were used copies of
John Denver's Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits II.
I have a list of albums I've once owned on a tape etc, that I now want to own in DVDA/CD. So my purchases are very much tied to it.

Sonja-- What are some of you're fave Rufus tracks? I saw him in Columbus, Ohio in February! :D Awesome stuff, I think he's brilliant, gorgeous, and a genius songwriter![/QUOTE]
"Across The Universe"!!!
Not his own song but the best version of it!
"Imaginary Love" is also one of my favourites.
He's quite unknown here in Germany. I only heard of him because he sang with Moby and Sean Lennon on the John Lennon Tribute in 2001.

Kris Kristofferson "Repossessed/Third World Warrior" and Rita Coolidge "Delta Lady Anthology"
Two two-cd sets from artists who were married at one time. I guess one made me want to buy the other.
I am heavily into Kristofferson at all times and I have been in a mood to listen to Rita lately.
Kristofferson's set was recently re-released as a remastered two cd set, so I had to have it and the Rita set is the first real extensive overview of her work, also remastered.
