Excellent! At last, someone who cares about quality. Sorry, but it's true. But if I have just one gripe it's that the vocals are too AutoT'ed.

Btw, how come there was that weird (low) distortion over the piano?

Peace,
Adam.

Very nice. One of the best so far. Is this the same Adam Steen from Minnesota, the baseball player?

BTW, Richard, you can edit the subject line just as you can a message, in case you didn't know :)

Good vocals, too bad he used a midi file for the piano, bass and drums

Glad you seem to like it!

I recorded it on my old computer (P2 233 MHz) and used about 30 channels of audio so I had to use the midi file as background or my computer would've choked. I'm sorry if it sounds to compressed, but I wasn't so familiar with the recording software at the time. It's recorded with Sonar for those of you who know what I'm talking about. However I've changed to Cubase SX 2.0 now.

Got a wee techy question for you KweenQ. I'm hesitant about moving from CubaseSX 1.03 to v2. I hear version 2 is better and it certainly seems looks it. But I took a little run over the interface and plenty has changed with the use of mixing things. To be honest, I got a little lost. Not a good sign when I've never had that feeling with previous versions. Even the VST ones.

Whadya think? Did you have some misgivings about moving from v1 to v2. Or did you start on v2? I might see if I can demo it on another machine, first.

Peace,
Adam.

Sounds fabulous.

Tell me, what kind of microphone did you use for the vocals? And how did you record the guitars?

Actually I've used v1 for some time (downloaded) and I liked it so much that I bought v2 (expensive). I have to agree. the mixer feels a bit confusing. Hopefully it's because I'm not used to it. Anyway, it's to late to have any regrets now.... //Adam

Actually, I did used an old Shure SM58 for that. But I have changed to a better microphone now. (JJlabs BMC C08)

Regarding guitars, I use a Vox AC15 Cambridge amplifier. Gibson Les Paul and of course Burns "Red Special" (not on "Doin' Alright" though, I didn't own it at the time). I also use some amplifier simulators like Revalver and a lot of other things. Cheers, Adam

Maby we should start a new thread discussing recordings? Others may be bored to death... ;-)
