Yeah, nice song!
Don't think there's a longer version though...
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

The BBC version I have is a complete song and it's just 1.25 minutes.

The time is wrong there, the BBC version of "Nevermore" isn't almost 5 minutes. I think it reaches about 2 minutes or so. A beautiful version with drums added to it.

So is this longer version on Queen at the beeb album?

No. It's from the unreleased session where the bootlegged BBC versions of "Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll" and "White Queen (As It Began)" came from. "March Of The Black Queen" is also from that session, but has never been heard or shared by Queen fans, whereas the other three have been leaked

No, it wasn't included on At The Beeb. That only covers the first two sessions. The version I have is from their 4th session and runs 1:25 also. I believe the piano track is the same as the album, either that or it's perfectly replayed. New lead and backing vocals, drums, cymbal.

It's not the same. It's a "new" re-recorded version

March of the Black Queen wasn't recorded at that session - they just played the albumversion and faded it out. If I'm not mistaken :)

I wouldn't know now, would I? :)

From my knowledge Pim is right about that. Kinda weird actually, the least interesting one of the BBC sessions, yet the rarest one :)

It's rare because no one bootlegged it...why not: because it's identical to the Queen II version

I bet you lot collect car number plates as well.

Fair play, mind. I'm only jealous.

But sexually much more active.

It's no secret that the reason for many recordings being held back is because they contain something unique... so if Nevermore and White Queen leaked, why didn't Black Queen leak? If there is nothing interesting in it, then why wasn't it made available anyway?

I don't care how many people say the BBC version just the album version. Until I hear it, I will forever doubt that it is just the album version, for the above reason. And I'll sleep well at night, because there's nothing I can do about it until then. :)

But considering the history of people doing everything in their power to keep certain studio recordings under the table, I have no reason to doubt such a lie could have stood for this long. I could be wrong in terms of this particular song, but surely there are hundreds of others.

It DID Leak!!! All four tracks from the session (including Modern Times Rock 'n Roll) AND Black Queen were made available!

I have said this so often, and yet you still do not believe!

FACT: All four tracks were released as a complete session. Black Queen was NOT witheld - and yes it is the album version - but faded at the end/Funny How Love is Segue. So chances are you HAVE heard it!

Geez guys, how often does this need to be repeated?
