Horror movies do nothing for me, I find them all a bit shite. Each to their own though.

Same here. Most of them are so bad and exaggerated that they make me laugh.
Psycho Thrillers are much better!!

Donnie Darko is an excellent flick, but I dunno if it would qualify as a horror movie.
It's one of those weird David Lynch style of movies that are great but you don't really know what kind of genre do they belong to.
The Japanese version of 'The Ring' is a lot better than the American remake, and the last scene with the girl coming out of the TV is a hell more creepy.

I prefer the creepy stuff like 'The Hearse' and 'Burnt Offerings'.

Once you've pulled a bloke out of a canal after a boat propeller has taken the top of his head off, picked up a bloke who has been dead on the toilet for 3 months and infested with maggots, picked up a woman who was burnt to death, picked up a bloke who jumped off a motorway bridge and hit by 6 cars before he touched the road, picked up a bloke who emptied both barrels of a shotgun through his head and numerous other lovely sights - horror movies are a bit tame!

Right. I just got home, it's 01:30 at night and I just saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I'm scared. Anyone want to comfort me? Hell, I won't sleep tonight! And my plan on keeping my boyfriend up with me went wrong, cos he was already asleep when I came home! Hmpf.
Btw, can anyone tell me just how much of that story IS true (it says it is inspired by a true story)? Was it a whole sick family and man with a mask made of human skin? I doubt it, but all of my friends seem to think these parts are reasonably true. It says the case was not solved, apparently because the psycho ran off - but at the countryside, far off in Texas, being misshaped and missing an arm (according to the version I saw now, mind you), how the hell could he NOT be found and recognised?
And my excuses for rambling on about these things, it will probably seem very silly when I wake up tomorrow and have gotten to my senses.

Silje, because I have every ounce of sympathy in the world for you, I've got a link here for you that should answer your question.

You'll be fine, just don't think about the guy getting hung on the hook (which was the bit that really got me, especially when my boyfriend kept poking me in the back!) and you'll forget all about it.
May I also recommend a good dose of children's films for the next few days.

Yep, yep. I found this last night and immediately calmed down a lot. ;-) I was mostly scared because after the movie my mind would start thinking of more close-to-reality things which also scare me, I am like that. The movie in itself annoyed me quite a bit because of how the damned girl tries to save everyone. If she had any sorts of instincts she'd just RUN.
But thanks a lot. :-) This evening I'm apparently going to see ANOTHER scary movie which was even recorded in my own country. So do expect me back tonight, hehe.
