Rainmustfall, put on headphones, turn up the volume, close your eyes and relax...I'm sure you'll find out what they mean ;-))

When I first heard this last bit of MIH (headphones and all), I thought hmm..what a strange long end and I found it rather awful, it was like one of those new age chill out cd's....but then I got hypnotized by it. I saw all these images of landscapes, clouds, etc. like a video clip all in my mind's eye. (which is normal for me I always visualize music so to say). At one point I felt like I was flying, or running over hills in the rain. And then suddenly there was a voice saying "are you running?" So that was very amazing and weird and it made me jump up.
In the end I listened to it several times and came to appreciate it, although I didn't like it much at all at first. But it indeed is very emotional, with a little imagination you can hear what Brian meant by 'Freddie going up to heaven'.
I think it's a nice way of describing this 'secret track'..

:)

On a semi related note, Does any one have any idea why they seperated the 12th track from the 11th?

I love the ending of the song with the drums
It's telling people that Queen has reached it's climax for good.

it's funny that there's a topic 'Freddie's Journey' right next to this one. That's what I title 'track 13' whenever I make a copy.. "The Journey'. BTW, I don't separate 'yeah' from the rest... too much trouble and silly. I dunno why they did that.. perhaps just testing the minimum allowed track length.

I just got the album today and I listened to it. I thought it was pretty cool. It sounded a bit like those nature tapes to me and then every once in a while some talking like the "Are you running?" part. But I ended up falling asleep during it and actually only "heard" bits. I never heard the percussion thing in the middle. Maybe I should try and listen to it when I'm fully awake instead of right after I get home from work.

The "are you running" was apparently a bit of a mistake, Freddie was asking if the tape was running - apparently it was. Nice way to use it I thought.

I wonder where the 'Fab' part came from? Dun, dun dun!

- Wasn't the idea to have the shortest and longest ever Queen tracks immediately next to each other? It seems Queen (minus Fred of course) were trying out such quirks and firsts on the album, as there is also the rumour that Mother Love contains an extremely compressed/short clip of every UK single Queen released.

What do you mean by short clip??

I name the 'track 13' as 'Passing Over The Walls To Heaven'

Well, obviously in Mother Love there are identifiable bits of other Queen songs - One Vision, and Goin' Back for example - but in that part of the song where those obvious clips appear you hear bits of a white noise/detuned radio kind of sound, and I've heard that in there somewhere are micro-clips of each and every UK single.

Obviously that means a short bit of 40-odd singles has to be compressed into say 3 seconds of music, but it's entirely possible to do that.

Someone synced up the bonus track from Made In Heaven with the end of the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" and put it on the hub ;)
