What do you think about this song? I guess most of the rockers here hate :-(

Was this song a big dance hit back in 1996 or am I only imagining?

I think it was a European dance hit in 1995, probably thanks to the total of 15 (or 16?) remixes that they made. I think it's okay, not as bad as most people think, just because it's kinda "dancy" doesn't mean it's bad. AOBTD is kinda dancy, and that doesn't even have a killer solo that YDFM has.

AOBTD is cool and not so dancy. You don't fool me is more... 'dark' to me, but I don't hate it.

I personally love the song! It's one of my favorites from the album.

When I was in Colombia that song was picked by stations as the first single from MIH to receive radio airplay. It became a huge hit, and got requested a lot. It's a catchy song and indeed one of the greatest Queen songs ever IMO.

Some "Queen fans" seem to underestimate the great potential that Queen had to make pop oriented songs. Think about it... if Queen always remained only as a 100% rock band without mixing rock with other genres, they wouldn't be nearly as big as they were.

Nah... rockers or not, I guess we all know that Queen were able to do any kind of music and they were good at it.
You Don't Fool Me is dancy but not as dancy as Hot Space. I love both, YDFM and the whole Hot Space album.
And I love rock music!

I always thought that with YDFM they finally got it right in the pop/dance genre. All thouse years of tying finally produced a great dance track meshed w/ a killer guitar solo.
