There is a huge difference between the cover of a song and making your private life a public joke. A song is only a song but your marriage is personal and close to your heart. Brian did not say that the TOFBRA people are "bad fans" he said who has fans like these does not need enemies and I have to agree. I am sure it was not very "smart" of Brian to respond to the website on his soap box but I can fully understand that he is hurt and angry about some people who think it's their god given right to write fiction about real peoples' lives and turn it into a cheap soap opera. If I were Brian's son I would remove the link, too and if I were Jen I would kick it off my list, too. They are friends and family of Brian and it's only natural that they protect his feelings.

I also agree with Robin about the guest book entry by chancellor amethyst, this was really low.

I am middle of the road on this Brian thing. I look at and thought the site was a parody like Saturday Night Live, BUT I haven't had enough time to read the whole site. So I am not sure really what all is said on it. I think someone oh here said that there were some pretty harsh things said about his wife and children are on the site??? I think that is what I read on here. I know I would be very pissed if someone dogged my kids and husband, VERY pissed. Now if I were in a spotlighted position like Brian is, I personally (probably) wouldn't let it be know what bothered me though. Just bc I know how some people are, for example tabloid folks. If they see a wound, they will keep trying to draw blood.

But..(I have a lot of buts) I don't think that just bc Brian is in a spotlighted position that he doesn't have feelings nor the right not to express his feelings. So you see that I am middle of the road. Booooring huh?

I see the right of the TOFBRA people to say what they want on a computer screen and I also see how it could/has affected Brian. He has a right to voice his disgust or liking of any site or anything just as the TOFBRA folks can say how they dislike or like Queen, Charmin toilet paper, peanut M&Ms, etc.

So there it is, what about you? How do you feel about it?
