I think they're brilliant. Althought they clearly have a Queen influence I don't see why people say they are copying them.

The Darkness totally and absolutely rock!
Freddie: "Yes, we'll have a great big cock fly over the crowd!" Roadies: "Yeah! Great Idea!" Freddie: "And it will fly into a great big mouth with a moustache!"

I don't see any Queen connection other than the fact that they are fans. But, I don't like them. Something about that guy's voice rubs me the wrong way.

I have to agree with Freddie's Cat - their shat. A complete joke. The singer is an arsehole, they should never be compared to Queen.

I think they're a breath of fresh air and I bought their album and loved every song...that would only happen to me when I listened to a Queen album...

First came the Beatles... then Oasis
First came Pink Floyd... then Alan Parsons Project
First came Pearl Jam... then Creed
First came Queen... then The Darkness

History repeats itself.

They're not bad, their songs are decent but I wish they'd explore some other subject matter besides love...not that there's anything wrong with that but it's been proven that it is possible to write songs about other things.
I also think that Justin Hawkins has his head up his arse but other than that I quite like them. All the more because I didn't have to pay for their CD :-)
And no, I don't think that they're Queen rip-offs, they just like to tip their hats. Check out the Bo Rhap nod in the IBIATCL video.

I quite like The Darkness--saw them last week in concert as a matter of fact, great show. I really don't consider them to be all that "Queen-like".

They're ok. Justin's voice annoys me after 20 minutes of listening.
And I still don't get this Queen - Darkness thing. I don't see any similarities with Queen except that Justin also has ugly teeth.
