Queen influenced? For sure.
Copying Queen? No way.

Other than the leotards, which were NOT worn EXCLUSIVELY by Mr.Mercury, and the occassion very "Queenish" riff, the Darkness are just a great REAL ROCK band. You can hear the influence of other bands in the Darkness's music as well. The beginning of "Makin' Out" sounds influenced by "Thunderstruck."

I saw the Darkness on my birthday this month and even though I had to move from the front, because of the ridiculous pushing and shoving..GRRR...I had a blast! Justin is hilarious! The Darkness RAAAAWWWWKKK!! :-)

I think the boys are fab, they have such an absolutely admirable disposition regarding what they've set out to do. They're just a buncha lads chasing their dream who want to bring back the old times when concerts were supposedly better (I wouldn't know now would I?) I also think its great that their utilising old things and showing it to a newer audience... but yeah, something about them makes me smile.

Asian concerts are fabulous, I may add. :D (VIsual Kei... yay!)

its gd to some guys write their own stuff in these pop times. Intheir song i cant see any queenstuff related, but when it come to stage and cloth i surely can. Nice younger ppl can lern that rock isnt limp bizkit (i hate then curs i dont like rap, and the totaly raped behind blue eyes) or other crappy bands. Its funny when ppl say they dont like them they dont tell why. well keep the gd work up guys

I like them. At least they're better than most of the rap on the radio right now.

Again- I've never heard of them. Well, I've heard of them on this board, but I don't actually know anything else. I am very clueless about other music.

bought the album a few months ago, turned me into huge fan. i would not say their copying queen but they are definitely influenced by them, but how could that be bad

i think they can really write great songs anyway
