Why did he paint only his left fingernails black? My theory, though it could be totally wrong, is that since he was right-handed, he could only do his left hand very nicely, so didn't bother with his right hand. I speak from personal experiance. It's really annoying when I paint my left hand perfectly, then I have to go use my left hand to paint my right.

Next time you watch an old concert video from the early 70s check Brian's nails, he painted them white

Believe me, I had exactly the same theory about Freddie's nails!!
Because one of my friends always paints only her left hand cos she isn't able to do with her left hand.
I used to paint my left hand and then asked my mum to paint the right one for me but since she left I never paint them anymore cos I'm just not able to! My left hand is useless!!

Lol, you could be right:)) Makes sense. I'm left handed so I always paint nails on my right hand perfectly, but the other way it's a disaster!!

This has been a question that bothered me too. When I first noticed his nails, on the SHA sleeve, a couple of nights later I dreamt him doing his manicure and being compelled to interrupt it because of a very important phone call and that explained why he forgot to do his right hand too! It's nice to know the truth at last!
