What respect he must still have for Freddie. Cause Freddie really seemed like the sort of person who wanted his lover to write a book about him, right?

I don't know, it may have been about money, although he did get a lot from Freddie after his death, but I think that Jim just wanted to tell his side of the story, bring another light to Freddie. Maybe it was a sort of closure to him to be able to tell about the love of his life.

Yet stating on a Queen notice board that you want autopsy pics of Freddie is respectful?

Still, even wanting to see them isn't respectful to Freddie's memory. Isn't it better just to remember him how he was when he was alive?
