I take it this set will be similar to the Rolling Stones set that Best Buy sold awhile back?

That set pissed off a lot of music retailers, but did gangbusters for Best Buy.

did u just read the last part?

Sure I did. One person said it'd be full and unedited, and another person said Zeppelin won't allow their performance to be released officially. I suppose there could be some slight linguistic ambiguity, but I'm interpreting the comment about gossip as referring to LZ's words.

There's a track list for the DVD over at BrianMay.com. Though it hasn't been confirmed, I noticed The Who performance is missing also. I bet Bob Geldof is quite disapointed at the ammount of refusals he's been getting. At least the Queen set appears to be intact.

Two things:

1. If Elton is keeping it back for a separate release of his own, that is sickening.

And 2. The amount of artists dropping off the dvd keeps growing and growing. Also sickening.

But on that last one I must add, I don't think they should be rushing to get this thing into the shops by November. Does anyone think all those artists would still have dropped out had it been released the following year?

Peace,
Adam.

I dont think that and i know you said IF Elton would release it on his own...he'd put it out on a seperate release just on his own..and the last one is a loaded question cause ...we know the Led Zep one wouldnt be on it if it was this year or next....due to the bad performance so they say that was in the show

Good for him, atleast someone will buy it.
Now, did I recall someone mentioning here earlier

Zeppelin wont let there performance be shown because they think it wasn't good enough. Robert Plant said they were annoyed by Phil Collin's drumming. He didn't know when to hit the drum and was too busy looking at the cameras to do his job properly. Besides, the profit from an upcoming Zep release is going to the Band Aid charity so it's forgivable in a sense.

Let me first say that I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan. They are, without a doubt, my favorite band in the world. The first time I heard "Black Dog" come steamrolling through my stereo, it was like finding religion. Jimmy Page is the whole reason I picked up the guitar in the first place.

Having said that, LZ was absolutely horrifying at Live Aid. Phil missed almost all his cues, Page's guitars were out of tune (yes I think all of them!), and Plant's voice was not of good quality. Trust me when I say LZ is doing them a favor by not allowing it. If you need to see Zep live, buy the 2DVD set that came out a year or 2 ago. You won't regret it.

This is so precious: "Phil Collins was jetlagged". R-i-i-i-i-i-i-ght.

Look, no matter what his excuse (jetlag, premature balding, ovarian cancer, 24-hour black plague) there's a cure for this that any ROCK veteran already knows; who the hell let Collins out on the stage without seeing Stickells first (if ya needafix, if ya wannahigh) if he was so g-d jetlagged? It's not like coke was SCARCE in the 80's, or anything... CHEEEEE-RISSSAKES!
