Tony Blair unlike his best mate Bush, rarely messes up in public. But this was a good 'un:

The Brits don't need Tony Blair to come up with silly quotes, they already have Kevin Keegan.
In this one instance I think you could blame the speech writer as well. I know Bush should read his speechs before he stumbles through them but by his own admission he doesn't read much. I wonder was some disgruntled employee taking the piss.
Or better than that, he could come up with his own words to say, like in Canadian politics... nah!
If there was a leaders debate for Kerry and Bush, I'd pay a hundred bucks to see that on Pay Per View. But of course, that'd never happen, and we all know why.
