I wish that there were two versions...
- The one that we all know, without the "fried chicken"
and then the funny version...
- with all the messed up lyrics from the demo sessions, including the "fried chicken" at the end.

no
I agree with you, Mr.Jingles. I probably wouldn't if I were from the planet England, where humor is a strange and distorted thing from the humor we know over here. It's not even spelled the same, you know. How fitting.
nope
I think by saying "fried chicken" it makes the song stick out.
My friend and I we're listening to it and when she heard that she's like "Did they say 'fried chicken'?" and she laughed.
Sometimes when I hear him say "give me Fried Chicken".. I want chicken.
Just smile at it.

I'm not from "planet England", but I still taste Freddie's sense of humour :) I think the "fried chicken" thing is funny. One of the reasons Queen got my attention for in the early days of being a queeniac was the humour that spread from many of their songs...
Nope. No. Nadda.
'...one dump, one turd, two tits, John Deacon...
Isn't it, "one turd to fit John Deacon" ?? Listen closely!
hahah it dont ruin the song at all!

Nope, I don't think so. I turned on the German subtitles (I'm Dutch, btw), and there it says:
'One dump, one turd, two tits, John Deacon' (only than in German)
So it is correct!

Not so. That's just someone's interpretation of it. Why couldn't they be wrong?

Well, that would be very stupid, don't you think? To add a wrong subtitle on a DVD. And if you listen good, than you will hear: 'one dump, one turd, two tits, John Deacon'
In German it's something like (as it says on the subtitle): 'Ein Mullwagen, ein Scheisskerl, zwei titte, John Deacon'

Ruined it? No way! I love the way the echo of the that line "corrects" the "chicken" by saying "vision, vision...", too. Fabulous ending!
I think it was a brilliant way to show critics that they weren't as bombastic and full of themselves as they'd been accused of being.
Even without the critics, some might fear that the song borders on being "preachy", but that fear is quite neatly put to rest with the nice bit of Queen humor, right?

I have a question: does the phrase "fried chicken" mean something else in English or it is just a chicken which is fried and nothing more?
