Wembley 86, how many overdubs?

The most obvious one is when Brian is heard singing on "(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care" yet he is nowhere near a microphone.

On "One Vision" Freddie has overdubbed a second voice during the line "Look what they've done to my dreams".

All you experts out there, can you tell how much of the show was actually overdubbed besides the two incidents mentioned above?

Also on We are the Champions, the 'I've come through'" part has an overdubbed vocal part.

And Brians singing part on One Vision is replaced with a part from another concert (Or re-recorded in the studio) And so is the solo

Oh, I could have sworn it sounds very much like Brian... but come to think of it, I haven't really heard what Spike sounds like, so I can't argue with that.

There are many overdubs!

Just own the cd bootleg cald: '' Flash Freddie '' as it has many songs from the 12.7.86 Wembley date with not the overdubs and i love it!
Unfortunately, the bootleg covers not the complete concert and has 2 bonus tracks from BBC

There were EXACTLY 154 293 493 399 382 095 399 953.09482799 to the power of 50843923 number of overdubs on the wembley CD.

It took 100 super power NASA computers 12 years to calculate this exactly.

I've always thought that all these bootlegs are simple copies of the VHS. Mainly because the tracklist is usually the same. Which would suggest that the VHS wasn't overdubbed but the 2CD and DVD releases were. Is that correct?

That's not correct. Also the VHS release was overdubbed.

But why do the Wembley bootlegs have the tracklist same or similar to the VHS? Or did any bootleg cover the full concert?

The bootlegs came from the 1986 radio broadcast(s), if my facts are correct. But definitely, there are tonnes of overdubs. Many lines in One Vision, AKOM, and WATC at least. All of the chorus of WATC are overdubbed with Freddie singing the upper octave. There's one point on the DVD where visually, he is clearly singing the lower octave, but the audio is of him singing the upper octave.

Just a favor to ask. When talking about Queen songs, can you atleast state the full title of the song just once rather than this AOBTD and GDML or FTMS and so on so that EVERYONE knows what your talking about? That'd be great.

It's a fair request, but you have to keep in mind, the people who read these kinds of posts are generally those who know what the acronyms stand for. If "WWRY" and "AOBTD" don't ring a bell in your head, then one must wonder why you're reading deeply into topic about the Wembley DVD overdubs, as opposed to listening to the Greatest Hits cds first.

The fact that I don't feel like "decoding" all of these stupid acronyms has nothing to do with my lack of queen knowledge and frankly I am upset with your insinuation that I'm either a "Fair weather" Queen fan or some "newbie".
