I never used music to study before, but this weekend I had to read a really really boring book (The Human Web: A Birds Eye View of World History) and I decided to listen to music. It really worked- quashing all of my 'GOD I HATE THIS BOOK' thoughts.
anyway- radiohead is now my new study music- how about you guys?
Like c.elegans except bigger and more tasty.

I always found listening to Slayer worked well when studying. Of course, my grades in college sucked, but that may have had more to do with the pot and beer than anything else....
I hath soiled myself, methinks.....

For some reason, listening to music while I'm trying to study bothers me, because I tend to focus on the music instead of what I'm supposed to be doing.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

During my finals I was willing to do anything to help me to get good grades. So I listened to Mozart (LOL) as it heightens ones learning ability, etc.

I continued to listen to classical just when I studied (even when I wasn't studying for big tests, etc)...and I'd also listen to No Doubt, just to relax myself.

Queen's first two albums always do the trick for me! :-)

I'm with Gunpowder Gelatine, although I do tend to put music on whenever I am idle studying or whatnot. I just HAVE to.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.

lol... I thought this was a topic about University or College music courses.

I can't listen to any music while I study. If it's crap, I'll turn it off. If it's good, then I won't be able to concentrate on my work!

I used to listen to Beeeeeeethoven. And that pushed me up from a C to a B-. I guess it worked. Or maybe it was the crocodiles.

I don't listen to anything and I'm an A student. Of course, that's probably my superior New Zealand intellect...

I'm an A student and I listen to music. But I'm not a New Zealander. ;^)

Meat Loaf, the Eurhythmics, and Jesus Christ Superstar for me. Also occasionally the Dixie Chicks. I would use Queen, but they distract me too much.

Meatloaf is SO awesome... :D
