Right when you were at High School, what did you do for "History Lessons"? Sorry I was just wondering, because looking back I was taught the History of Britain and the Politics, so what do they teach you for History, Stupid Question I know but I was just wondering.

Yeah, that paying attention thing is hard in history. Something about George Washington and William Jennings Bryan.

I just didn't pay attention because they kept spewing the same crap I had already learned YEARS before.

Same thing with English class, the grammar aspect. And most of many other classes too.

I know Americans aren't taught about Canadians, which isn't fair to me and a lot of other fellow Canadians. We have to learn about the Americans, but they won't learn about us.

Hmm, I see a discrepancy here...

I don't see reason enough to learn what we do learn, let alone any reason to learn about Canada. Honestly...

We learned Ohio History (I am in Ohio), American History, World History (including Canada). I also took classes in Western Civilization and American Govt.

I learned the ultra-left-wing history of the US in US History class, before that was "Modern European History" which was basically left-wing western Europe history (Britain, France, Germany, Netherlands), and about Canada, South America, Africa, in French Class.

Finally, this year I'm doing something OTHER than history. My class is learning about ancient civilizations (prehistoric times up till the middle ages).

My high school history consisted of:

I'm not taking Western Civilization this year because, well, I don't have to.
