I think they need to re-release all the studio albums in some kind of new format. There's also a pressing need for a new Greatest Hits collection and a new Las Vegas Cast Album, followed by cast albums from wherever the musical opens next. Brian also needs to do some more complaining about the Press but also continue to use the Sun to promote We Will Rock You. After that, who knows? Certainly there's no demand for a box set or anything crazy like that...

I'd like to see an album of new music from Brian and Roger. This is realistic. John looks like he's gone for good, and that's fine with me. They can get anyone to play bass or do it themselves and it will be just as good. He never (or almost never) sang, so that doesn't matter. The loss of his songwriting and general input will be most missed, but it seemed Freddie encouraged him a lot in those areas and with him gone, he might not be as effective in that area. Which is too bad, because Freddie and John's more pop-ish stuff was often a moderating influence on Brian and Roger's harder visions. But still, the loss of John is something that can be worked around.
The point is, Brian and Roger should get together and write and record at least ten good tracks. No guest singers. No covers. No rehashes of old material. No collaberations with Britney Spears. Nothing. Just the two of them in the studio. Then they tour to promote the new album. They can do this all under the Queen name or not. I don't really care. They should not have a huge backup band. It should be Brian, Roger, somebody to play bass, and Spike if he's still around and willing. If not, somebody else who can play piano, sing, and play guitar. Maybe one other guy for general backup stuff like Spike. But no more than five people on stage. That is their element. Play the stuff from the new album. Play some less known Queen tracks where they sang. How about Drowse, Sleeping on the Sidewalk, Tenement Funster, '39 and stuff like that? And a few of the hits of Queen to make the more casual fans happy. We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions, of course. Maybe Radio Ga Ga, Hammer to Fall, and Bohemian Rhapsody, if they can figure out a way to do it well without Freddie. I'd like to hear Breakthru. Actually, this would be a good forum for seeing how some of the tracks from The Miracle and Innuendo would have worked live.
Then, if the market can take it, and if they played well on the tour, a live album from the tour.

I think it would be great if brian and roger did some talkshows promoting the musical it would be great to see new stuff in the us. I personally would like a new roger solo album more than a brian one. They should come out with a unrealeased tracks cd sort of like tupac.

I think Brian knows perfectly well what the fans want. The problem is that he isn't interested in doing it right now. And that's fine. If he's not interested, it's not going to come out well anyway. We can be patient. But you know, they aren't young anymore and time is running out. They could be doing this musical stuff when they're 70 and it would be exactly the same. But they probably only have ten years or so left where they can actually release an album and tour for it effectively. After that, the show really is over. I guess I just hope the knowledge of that motivates them to get out there and do it and do it well. Even releasing rare stuff or BBC stuff or whatever can wait a little. I'd like a steady stream of concert DVDs to come out, sure, but how much do Brian and Roger really have to put into that? Not too much.

As for my opinion, I would pay twice as much to see John alone than Roger and Brian alone. As someone pointed out before - theyre selling out, its getting embarrasing. The shows they have played as a twosome with guests hav been pretty shit. I downloaded the Amsterdam gig and then deleted it upon hearing it! 46664 was pants, I havent heard the studio songs yet so I cant comment on that but the live stuff was crap.

George Michael wouldn't tour with them. he doesn't even tour with his own material, so why would he want to tour with others? And I agree, he's got a good voice, and STL, '39 and TATDOOL were great at the tribute, but the harder songs wouldn't fit his voice.

Queen were finished when Freddie died back in 1991, Roger and Brian should now focus on their solo careers, if they are interested of course.
Else, like the Beatles did before: they (together with John) should work on an Anthology, work on 2 or 3 "new" songs and that should be it. I know, it's been promised to the fans for over 10 years now - but still no official word on the Anthology.

I still really think that Brian/Roger should hook up with Roger Daltrey/Peter Townshend. Imagine the vocal possibilities and the songs that could play. And Paul MacCartney. He can come along too.

- a small tour, like they each did on the 1998/1999 solo-tours. Let's face it - they can't fill a huge venue anymore. Play a selection of solo/queen work, with some interesting tracks like Tenement Funster, '39 and She Makes Me.

I wish I was aware of Queen when Brian/Roger toured because I'd've loved to have gone to see 'em.

Lord Fenderrus, I totally agree with you on this post! Down with the stupid guest vocalists, they're compromising Queen's name... well, at least Britney, Beyonce and Pink certainly did. I hate hearing the Pepsi ad! Bri and Rog should really try to sing Queen's songs by themselves. Of course, the general public wouldn't give a damn on them, but the fans would really love them. Hell, haven't they got enough money to let go of this musical story and just do smth. for those who adore them?
