Roger hands down, I mean God love Nick Mason, he is a great drummer and I do love Pink Floyd, but Roger's the man, cause he was my first crush when I was 8 years old. Third best drummer? the late,great John 'Bonzo' Bonham.

Roger is even better than Keith Moon and John Bonham were... :p

Try any live version of 'A Quick One, While He's Away'...Moonie gives his all there, and it's really amazing. 'The Ox' is also four minutes of Moon whirling around his drum set. I've tried drumming along to that, and I very nearly pass out after thirty seconds.

For me a drummer is great when perfectly suits the sound of his own band and both Roger and Nick did.

I'm not the only person to think that the drums were important to Someone Saved My Life Tonight. Nigel Olssen is a lot like Roger--he sang back up in a trio and did similar style of drumming.

There's a question for you , because the styles are so close--who's the better drummer? Roger or Nigel?

I can't say who is the best drummer, but I can say that Roger fits wonderful in Queen. And he created his own style, just like the other members did too. That's what I appreciate the most in Roger.

Both of them are good (and I prefer Roger, maybe ’cos he’s from Queen? :-). But speaking of best rock drummers - for me it’s Peart, Bonham, Moon (in this order).
